Kind of new to this, what advantage does VPS have for botting and could you briefly explain how it works?

 

hey bud, a VPS is basically a computer that you connect to remotely that runs 24/7. the advantage is having the ability to run your botting software on the VPS and then have the ability to turn your pc off and have your bots still running. you connect to the server via a "VNC Viewer". you can close the vnc viewer at any time and the bots will still be running

 

I can't remember reading about this but does this also help if jagex chooses to IP ban? Therefore your main you play on your computer solely would not be in jeopardy?

 

hey bud, generally you'll be wanting to bot on proxies, so ip doesn't really matter, but yes, vps does have a different ip to your main, so your main would stay out of trouble
