So how does this all work?

Well, I just decided to start using forums. My name is John, but I'd rather keep my last name to myelf... I live in London, England, and for some reason can't access this site without the use of a proxy. I hope I'm putting this in the right place?

What do I do here? Who can I talk to and what should I use for contacting moderators, admins, et cetera? MSN? Will they get angry if I add them out of the blue?
