Bug abusers crashing the price of gold because of invinciblity glitch

I'm not sure if I should take this post seriously, but I will anyways. The bolts are not cost effective in any pvm/pvp situation. Their alch value is so high (9k), that's it's better to alch the bolts than to actually use them. The 175 uncommon bolt drop from corp is worth 1.575m just from alching all of it. Even if they sold it in the grand exchange (they probably did, and most likely undercut the price) that it's a viable item to buy and profit from just by alching it.

 

The glitch was performed using the newly patched gmaul that Mod John C "fixed"


His fix included something that messed up the delay of the special attack and then someone found if you use the gmaul special attack and then log out they would be rendered invisible to monsters, making them unaggresive to the player.

 

Would be interesting to learn how to find and perform glitches.

Aight. Didn't know people alched them/their alch value.

They were fixing a problem with the g maul. But I think people were using the instance which is hard to catch. Not 100% sure though

Came back to scape like 2 days ago, Sad face. This could of been nice

 

they put so many sigils that arent supposed to be in the game

 

There aren't actually more coins in the game due to the bug. Back in 2011 with the actual coin dupe, there was an immediate and drastic change in gold price ($.55+ to < $.20 immediately).

Still not a significant source of coins, even if there were accounts botting on every world around the clock. $3 worth of coins generated per bolt drop just isn't that much.

 

By my estimations, 1 account is suppose to average 5 bolt drops per day (That of which is 1/50). 5x3=15, multiply that by the 10 accounts that were botting this by 1 person and you get 150. The length of this has been going on for let's say 6 months. So.. 30x6=180, multiply that by 150 and you get 27,000 worth of gp created from this bug. I'm not accounting the 14 other people who supposedly knew about this either. I'm not savy with the gp market so I wouldn't know if you would consider that having a significant impact.

 

Well I have known tons of such gliches only few people knew as they were very hard to perform and required lots of knowledge about runescape game mechanics. I have glitched with many top bug abusers and still have some of them as my friends. It would have been possible for me or some of us to find this glitch as well but apparently we didnt. Hoping to have better luck next time! (Kinda doubt it but who knows, haha)

 

i put it this way.There havent been a lot of GP injected to the game, but a lot of high value items have been sold.All GP's were pushed to the black market, thats why price of gold are dropping.

 

Interesting share, too bad I never get in on this kind of thing.
