Dragon Ball Z: Xenoverse

I really want to get it, but I'm a little hesitant...

I know it's open world, but is it open world in the same sense as WoW or is it more like Borderlands?

 

Yeah, I am on the fence about this game, it seems great and as a oldschool DBZ fan I would buy it in a heartbeat, however with the price tag being so high I am hesitant to purchase as I am not sure if I would get that much value out of it.

 

Got this game yesterday for the xbox 360 and I must say that is very AMAZING, I can't stop playing it. There is just so much stuff to do on this game. The combat system in this game is simply amazing and the graphics are awesome, and its really fun developing your created character. The storymode is much better than the story mode of the other dragon ball z games, because its different so for anyone who thinks this game is the same old dragon ball z game, you are wrong. You can do co-op missions with other people online which is pretty damn fun, there are also online tournaments, online battles 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, and much much more stuff, you cant get bored of this game.

If you are a DBZ fan I strongly reccommend getting this game it is a must have. Also keep in mind that im playing it on an xbox 360 and I love it, so I can't imagine how much better it would be on a next gen console.

 

I wish they'd make a non fighter Dragonball Z game again. Like Legacy of Goku was, I want an immersive story based DBZ again, but not through fighting.

 

Oh my god, reminds me of the little like mmo style gameboy games where you would run around in like near 8bit style haha. I almost completely forgot about those games, and I feel like Xenoverse has a decent amount of story / free play ability or at least it seems to, but I haven't played so I could be wrong.

 

Agreed man, Those games were MONEY .

But I agree, Xenoverse does seem different, in a good way. I think I'm going to get it.

Hahaha, nope. I've played Budokai 1, 2, 3, and all of the Legacy of Goku games (1,2, Buu's Fury).

I really, really am enjoying Xenoverse. Playing it on Xb1

Honestly they kind of half assed it, there is so many characters that should be in the game but aren't like cooler, turles, lord slug and so much more its disappointing kinda.

Not just a few, they are missing so many characters it is insane.

For some stupid ass reason there is only great ape baby vegeta, there is no other baby vegeta forms.

There is almost no characters from dragon ball.

There is no android 19, turles, they only have broly's legendary super saiyan form and none of his other forms, android 13, uub, janemba, future gohan, super saiyan 1 gogeta, majin vegeta, 1st and 2nd form cell, dabura, cooler, mecha frieza, pikkon, tapion, zarbon, dodoria, bojack, they only have regular super buu, lord slug. And MANY MANY more characters that I did not name.

There is just so many characters missing in the game which is pretty pathetic, especially because of the fact that those characters were in previous games...

I am not saying that this game is bad or anything, (i've had it for like a month now and I still have not gotten bored of it) but its just pretty sad/disappointing how they are missing so many characters.

They are also missing so many sagas too.

 

Some of those are really big names like Cooler, Frieza, and Dabura. No idea how they didn't even incorporate those at all.

 

i like it, haven't leveled or anything yet though

but the fighting mechanics are good
