I ended up giving out a bunch of armour / scimmy sets. Mostly iron but a few steel and one black and a couple mith. Of course I gave out Santas because Santas are bitchin.

 

A Rune X just recognized me from Sythe after I gave them a... something? I'm like famous and stuff.

 

Love this idea. I may not remember their usernames, but I still remember the time people took to help me out when I was a noob. The (now) cheap party hat may have been someone's childhood dream.

Exactly, the best part of runescape way back in the day was the amount of people that helped each other instead of just thinking about themselves. I have had a ton of people tell me that I changed their lives, or made their day. It may not be as extreme as that, but if they are young and impressionable its worth a few k.

I've found buying sets is far faster and easier than the individual pieces. I had to pay like 3k for an iron plate body one time. It was annoying as hell.

 

I bought the blacks, mith, and addy as sets then exchanged them for each individual piece because I don't just give out the sets of armour at the ge and a lot of the people I give stuff to don't know how to exchange the sets or already have a piece or 2 of the full set so I just finish them off. but on the iron and steel sets, and mith helms, and axes I just made myself to get smithing up till I can make all of the full sets.

 

Ah. I like sets because I can carry more when I go to the chickens / cows in Lumbridge.

Seriously though, I really like those people that give stuff to you when you need it though. There's alot more of those type of people is OSRS then rs3.

 

I've seen a lot of people either begging or lying to try and get free stuff. That is really annoying me right now.

 

You think so? I feel like RS3 people give GP pretty freely nowadays. At least I know I do. When I say a guy spinning flax for GP I asked him if he was low on cash. He said yeah I'm trying to spin 10k flax to get some GP. I gave him 10M. His excitement was pretty awesome lol. It's a feeling I cant really get from Runescape anymore so was glad to be able to give back.

I feel like people care more about their GP and stuff on 07, but props to SuF for giving noobs stuff. :embar:

 

I'm just keeping my bank @ 10M, more or less. Cutting yews brings in a bit of money every day but I feel like I hand it out much faster than that. Lol

 

I feel like I should grind out some wyverns and make a giveaway tab.. sounds fun

 

I'm not a very wealthy player but I usually help those out who ask around for a certain item weather it be a mithril armor item or an axe or something to raise there skills. Even though I can't help out a lot, I still feel good when I am able to do something.

 

He could be one of those genuine younger players that doesn't RWT or bot. You saved him like 60 hours? At least that's how long it would take to spin 10k flax before eoc (I haven't played since). During the end of my RS days, I was too busy staking and such to actually find real players. I have given out a bit, but I feel like I could've done more if my life wasn't based on staking.
