locked out of windows

keyboard and mouse works in bios but not at login screen. locked out of my own machine FFS

only thing I can think of is ps/2 keyboard

any advice

 

Tried safe mode I'm assuming? If it works in bios then that's weird... Driver issue maybe...

 

is there anything important on the HDD? There's a few ways to backup data from the BIOS if you absolutely have to, then follow with a clean install. Only advice I can give if you've tried the simplest things already.
Have you made sure your mouse/keyboard are plugged into usb 2.0 slots and not 3.0?
Is this a new machine or did the computer used to work properly?
If it used to work, like the above poster said, try booting into safe mode with networking and re-installing your peripheral drivers.

 

worked find for years then I bought corsair m65 mouse installed drivers and had this issue for 8hours.
finally sorted it by using windows startup repair

 

Probably best to pick up a cheap/free ps/2 keyboard. I've experienced this before and understand your frustration :c
