you have been on this forum longer than me, it really proves nothing. So your saying that this method is worse than the current one people use? read the posts i have proved you wrong on every account....

LET ME SAY THIS AGAIN : This is for heightened security for account buyers. Nothing is bulletproof but this is almost there

There will never be 100% security for account buyers.. EVER, not on runescape not on any game. It's just the way its going to work, you have to find the right seller.

    You're making yourself look bad.

There is no current alternative to the method you're suggesting. Again, you want to force a preference on a market that's pro-choice. This won't get approved, just by the nature of it. This also does not "heighten" security by any means, as proven already in this thread.

No, and I have personal experience with this.
    Believe me
I've had an account I was able to recover, and unlock (not being the previous owner) but am now unable to.

How does me proving that I can recover the account I'm about to sell to you raise the security of the account? In both situations, you can't recover the account, so how does this "heighten" security? There is no physical modification, only an arbitrary one for senseless reassurance. In both cases you still lose as you're relying on trust and hope that the person who sold you the account isn't lying/scheming.

Have you read anything here? Details alone won't work to successfully recover an account. I'm going to sleep. I'm tired of speaking to a wall.

This won't help. The original owner will ALWAYS be able to recover an account. Just look at this email I was sent after I tried to recover an account (and this was with all correct details - I even used it for a successful recovery before):

I don't think this should be forced, but if people feel that it's necessary they can already do it this way if they'd like

I don't support this. If the seller/buyer want to do it, that's fine but don't force them to. This is a good way to get an account locked.

It doesn't matter if you say you move house. The original owner can just claim it was hacked and that they didn't move. Since they have an older IP address listed on the account they will be successful, and doing so will remove your IP address from the account as they think you hacked it.

Recovery tests will usually get the account locked and raise even more suspicion on the account anyway. It's not worth the effort.

This shouldn't be forced, as it can result in the RS account getting locked. Also I don't believe OMM's should be forced to hold money, definetly not through PP or something similiar, as there is a big risk that people will chargeback the money resulting in a locked PP account.

The original owner would be favoured because of his Ip adress (creation ip), also would be too much hassle i think honestly for recovery test, also would raise suspicion from jagex and they might investigate the account and (perm)ban it.

Should just disallow re-selling of accounts. 99% of the time its going to end up being a scam anyways

I'd like to see where you got your numbers from for, to my knowledge, it's nowhere near that.
