Virtual Reality - Thoughts, Refferences, Shows/Movies, Website

What do you guys think about Virtual Reality?

If you have watched anything related to the fictional VR such as SAO or the Matrix and you liked it, I would assume some part of you is looking forward to the advancements of it and our generation building tomorrows technology making it a reality.

I created this site for shits and giggles, and as a generalized place to get VR related information and for me to store data that I find then organize it. Still would like to add a stock related part of the site but that's another days task. Haven't updated much recently but looking for ideas and more things to add. It isn't done yet by any means but I believe it has a good start. Thanks for the help

 

Looking for any feedback, thanks. I added a site counter to show the number of unique visitors and then a counter for page views. May add a forum over time, but I would need an increase in traffic first.

If anyone needs advertising or knows people that need advertising and may be interested in this let me know. Looking for something game/tech related, like Runescape Gold, or other good stuff.

 

One interesting piece of kit that I would invest in if it was cheaper is the Cyberinth Virtualizer that pairs up with any PC game and an Oculus Rift.

One thing about VR that currently throws me off is the weight of the products.
Oculus rift is around 300 grams if I remember correctly and while it's very light compared to what we carry everyday, it IS a noticeable weight that is bound to cause neck stress.. I don't see myself using it for hours on end.

One thing that I am uncertain of is whether your eyes will adjust its focus while using it? Because the idea of staring at a small screen just centimeters away from my eyes really throws me off
I'm certain that sammy's VR set is horrible in this part

I mean, virtual reality sounds really cool (I'd like to watch 3d-porn in a first person perspective) but I'm still unsure if Oculus can make it something that we would want to use for our daily gaming sessions, or if it'll just be something cool to have but nothing more
I've read lots of reviews, but I certainly do not want to believe anything until I experience it firsthand. lol
