New way to get unlimited combat exp due to a bug...

This guy says that the mods don't care and it doesn't log him out except for system updates. He's currently going for #1 in strength.

Interesting if this was legit. All those XP GAINZ and profit could've been made off of this.

 

Apparentally it was patched last thursday according to a guy in the comments that knows how to do it... damn lol

Am I missing something? I didn't see any amazing xp gains on his CML page that would indicate >6hr sessions. 1.7m att & 3m ranged xp is plausible in 24 hours. Even more plausible in 30.

 

Well the 3 people that knew about this one of them ended up creating a 60 man corp farm which made him $40k in 4 months according to a guy in the comments. He also explained how to do it.

 

Does anyone has tutorial how to do it?

 

I'll never understand how these people that find major bugs in the system do it. Seriously...

I mean people look for glitches in code, and attempt to rewrite it in certain ways. The best example I can think of is the dude that beat the oldschool mario game in 5 minutes or so, by rewriting code in the levels by moving and doing certain shit and warping to the credits. Should look it up very interesting

 

The flaw has to be already in code before you can abuse something in rs they arent rewriting anything new as servers wont allow you to do that. (if something happens its client sided not server sided and therefore only visible to you) Instead you have to find a flaw in current game mechanics that the coder / coders has not thought of / has coded badly so it can be abused in some way.

Basically its out of the box thinking and knowing of how the game mechanics work that are required to find a glitch. (Trying to think what might have gone wrong in coding and could it be abused and how) More complex gliches require more knowledge and multiple glitches / flaws combined, some content gets coded so poorly that pretty much anyone might acxidentally stumble on something but may not find use for what they find.

Personally I have been exploiting glitches & bugs for over 5 years and it still surprises me how badly some content gets coded and how easy it is to find exploits. (Major glitches are quite rare though, most glitches are not very useful but fun to do.)
