Jagex ban for real world trading? I've heard of alot of people who have been banned for selling gold. Then Jagex introduce bonds which you can sell for in game gold? Seems like real world trading to me??? Hypocritical or what...
Just don't understand how they can ban people for selling gold. Even if you sell some to your friend and they find out they ban you. But they can legitimately sell gold? Broken promises. Total money whores.
Well that's exactly how really.. They don't want people RWTing because the money doesn't go to them. They want people buying bonds and selling for gp, then they make more money.
That's why they literally changed their RWT rule when they started doing it. It used to say. After they released the Squeal of Fortune, they amended the rule to say that only Jagex can RWT.
I wasn't trading gold around. I didn't have enough gold to trade around hahaha. Just on forums I hear of people trading gold etc and friends have traded gold before.
it's true it's basically the same thing but more legit. the person that buys the bonds can trade them for gold, and those with money will most likely do that..
Well they cant allow rwting as jagex might get into trouble, previously they had issues with goldfarmers buying membership with stolen credit cards etc. and got legal actions taken on them. Allowing rwt would increase the risks of similar player behaviour rising. This was one of the reasons free trading / pking got removed in the first place. Safer for jagex to sell bonds themselves.
Yeah, Jagex wants the remain a large company and they want to keep RS running. When their membership rates were very high, they didn't have to do things like this but when it dropped, they needed a way to replace their revenue.
Thats life man. Nothing in this world is fair. Look at casinos, where only they are allowed to have advantage, if you try to count cards or anything, they will just kick you out.
