How to create a brandable youtube channel name?

Hey guys, I'm going to be creating a youtube channel with a friend of mine. What we'll be mainly focusing on is pranks such as picking up girls etc. I want to bring this far so I am planning to create a brandable name. Something that I can turn into something bigger than a youtube channel.

Any tips?

Hey thats a good idea. Only thing is, what if someone quits/we recruit someone new?

 

Well you gotta give us some basic info to help you out. Your names, goals, favorite words, what you want it to be like.

 

I wouldn't want either of our names in the title/youtube channel name for reasons that if someone quits/leaves/joins, it would make the name invalid.

Anyways, goals would be the creation of a successful channel in which we either pick up girls, do social experiments/pranks every week.

The name would be something brandable. So something catchy that coordinates to what we actually do on the channel (pick up girls/do pranks).

 

This is something you guys need to think of really.
When you do decide on a name you also need to make sure the name isn't in use for any other branding which you intend to create otherwise copyright and all that jazz.

If its something funny, prehaps you should find a sorta funny name.
If you're planning to go far a fusion of names isn't a bad idea, because I assume you have both spoken about this and are in it for the long haul.

 

Pick something phonetic. It doesn't even have to be a real word, just make sure people can pronounce it (e.g. Twitter, Google, Skype)

 

its hard to give out tips on names especially when one doesn't know almost anything about the goal. but just make it something that's catchy and means something to the group

Something that Rhymes, Something funny, your names (since you are worried that someone will quit, then find a partner you know will stick around, or if you aren't up for it dot do it), but with adding someone new you wouldnt want to change the name or even consider it, they didnt make the channel, they didnt start anything, they are just a position filler / small time partner.

In the end, no one here or on the internet will give you a "Brandable Name" because they would rather keep it for themselves or sell it. You have to be creative and witty when making a name, it's not something anyone can hand you. If you cant make a name on your own, then a script or "pranks" to do would probably be half assed or on the fly, messing up and crap like that.

So do what you gotta do, you could have the best name in the world but without material no one will watch you. A real life example is Angle Soft toilet paper. It wouldn't be much of a product if it dissolved from the moisture in your hand or felt like sand paper.

Also a lot of people think they can live off of Youtube, but you need 10s of thousands of views just to make a couple bucks. Find investors and a sponsor and you might be a sellout but you could prank the shit out of someone wearing some fly threads.

 

It should be something that will stuck in the viewers head (which they don't forget too quickly) and it should also have something with either your real life names/hobbys to do or with the content you want to make videos of.
