Made a report like 3 days ago and nothing has happened so I'm making a report here.

User was banned from apos for letting a scammer use his auth. Apos is a rsc botting community and he is trying to pay someone to crack the bot to not use an auth.

 

I won't ban him for just that but I went ahead and closed the thread. If something else comes up let me know or post another report

The auth requires you to have a forum account. Don't really see much of a benefit in cracking that.

Not worth a ban. This is comparable to requesting cracked/torrented programs in my eyes.

 

I feel it's more comparable to requesting someone -to- crack a program, because that's what it is. And what it's not is asking "for" a cracked program.

If you find it's not bannable, or at least punnishable more than a locked thread, then where is the line drawn? What if I requested someone to crack sythe?

Ok. So lets say someone with 1 post who registered today requests someone to crack tribot, epicbot, whatever is currently in existence, don't care. If the owner of that bot came here and asked for something to be done about it, what would you do?

Do what you guys think is best lol. I didn't ask for this to be re-opened and discussed. I just silently reported the original ruling to state that you guys don't make fair decisions and that donations buy biased opinions.

 

It's asking for someone to crack a login auth for a bot.

If you ask someone to crack Sythe or hack the DB, you'll most likely be banned.

We don't care about hypothetical situations.

 

No, they're cracking software to not use an auth, for the 3rd time.

I guess we just see things differently, beacuse to me doesn't matter what they're cracking.

User (a) wanted to crack (x).
User (b) wanted to crack (y).

If the punishment is different between then two then you have an unfair or biased system. It's simple lol.
