Riot and its money

Could riot consider accepting riot points to have accounts with bans/mutes removed? I personally think it would only increase their revenue. Has this been discussed before and if so could someone link me?

Its basically the same as comparing someone in jail paying for getting his offense removed. this will never happen and would cause a huge backlash. Then you could say there is things like bail and probation, although i dont see them doing it: monetizing a probationlike feature that lets you be free of mutes for a certain period would be cool, and as soon as you get a game or two with overwhelming reports, get the mute added back.

 

Thats like Jagex accepting RSGP/USD for accounts to unbanned lol.

There are actually services where they will play the games out until your mute is over. I know of friends who have had success buying 500 games played so they can play ranked, etc, again. I don't see the point, if you get banned for that long and don't play it out, you wont learn and you're almost definitely going to get muted again for it.

That would be an extremely unfair way to promote toxicity in the community. Imagine someone who flames or afks all the time but has the money to keep getting unbanned.

Similar to what everyone else said this will never get implanted. I was going to say the same thing heatz said and use the example with this relating to RS

 

I think buying your way out of a ban is just silly. Yes, they may get some revenue out of that, but they'll be unleashing a hoard of toxic players which might ruin other players' experience and cause them to leave the game/quit. It won't ever happen.

 

dont think it'll ever happen. riot doesn't need money that bad and it'd cause a ton of backlash if it did happen

 

Ya if riot needed money they would just make a small fee to play or make the game pay to win, highly doubt they will ever implement this

 

people get banned for a reason,

I doubt it, they have plenty of other open methods to make money if they wished.

Speaking of this though, one of the pro players in OCE.. I believe he was ranked 4th in challenger? He got like a 7 week ban for toxic behavior and can't play in the OPL till 2017. Quiet hilarious. xD
