Do you guys think phats will be rare again? Prices are going up right now.

 

Not if they drop them every year, or did they change their mind on that?

 

Are all phats going up or just blue? People buy blue for like 150k each now.

 

Well are they dropping them every year?

 

I doubt they will ever be as "rare" as they are in RS3. Maybe in 5 years they might be worth something. I wouldn't go buy as many partyhats as you can in hope that one day you'll make a lot of money.

If they won't get dropped every year, they might be worth a couple mil in a few years just like some clue reward (cosmetic) masks >_<

Reason why are they are going up right now: F2P has came out brought some of the old players back, everyone is getting their hand on a party hat set, just for the purpose of having a ''rare'' in their bank.
The prices of party hats and the rest of the rares will drop as soon as new holiday comes.

Also, jagex has repeatedly said they don't want them to be rare. They make efforts to make them not rare, so it would be stupid to not take their word. They'll most likely make them a reward during every major holiday as stated above

For RS3 they repeatedly said that making partyhats rare was unintended and a mistake. Then they released the fish mask, black santa hat, etc...

 

They aren't discontinued so they have no value more than any regular cosmetic item.
