Esea or Matchmaking?

So what are your guys opinions on either esea or matchmaking besides the 64 tick on MM to the 128 tick on esea?

My personal opinion I usually play MM just for fun or with steam friends who don't have ESEA. But I feel like ESEA is a step up to becoming somewhat semi professional and putting your name out there if your good enough at least.

 

I play either FaceIt or MM. I like the knife round and the overtime in FaceIt, I don't really notice the difference between 64 and 128 tick though.

 

I play MM, never tried ESEA.

 

Gonna be blunt - If you don't see the difference, you must not be very good.

Difference between 64 and 128 tick for a higher skilled player is like day and night in a lot of cases. You can pretty much count the number of times a match your shots don't register on 64 tick that should have been a hit or a kill.

To comment on OP's questions - ESEA is a fantastic place to improve your gameplay. A lot of higher skilled players utilize it, and you can learn a lot simply by watching them play. Faceit and CEVO are also good alternatives to ESEA, but IMHO, ESEA is the superior one.

 

I am actually considering trying ESEA. I really can't stand MM anymore because it's impossible for me to actually rank up and I am getting close to 70 wins now and still being S1. I hate the fact that it has nothing to do with your score, K/D MVPS and so on and only has to do with how many wins you are getting. I went 6-0 yesterday and didn't rank up, and I am currently 5-0 and still nothing regardless of good KD and all that.

 

To be honest i have not tried esea yet but i have seen some streams and i think its better than MM because it has less hackers

 

How can you not notice the difference?

Like n4n0 said above, you must be blind not to notice the difference between 64 tick and 128 tick. I notice so many shots are hitting where i want them to hit when I'm on 128 tick but I'll have to check out faceit and see what its all about but for now I'm sticking with esea

 

ESEA, because it just got introduced to my region and it's been an awesome experience playing on 128 tick servers with significantly less ping compared to MM.

 

Of coures, I had plenty of missed shots in MM even though my crosshair was on his head/body and I stood completely still. Though, I often blame either my ping, the hitboxes or the accuracy of the weapon (weapons like a Famas aren't 100% accurate). The only difference I really notice with 128 tick is bunny hopping and hitting jumping players. Having ~60 ping is worse than the difference between 64 and 128 tick in my opinion. I have about 1,500-2,000 hours under my belt and I obviously had a few times where I couldn't believe how I missed those shots, but I take it as part of the game. The reserve happens sometimes aswell, I'm hitting shots I shouldn't hit.

 

60 ping isn't bad at all. Try playing on 80-120.

 

ESEA no cheaters!

 

There definitely are cheaters in ESEA, just less.

 

This. If pros are able to get away with cheating, then there's definitely going to be cheaters on ESEA. There's just less of them because esea has a better anti-cheat than valve.

 

Both are pretty awful ESEA if you have money Faceit works as well.

 

ESEA. I never played MM since ESEA came out to Asia Pacific.

 

My only 128 tick experiences were from Faceit and some community pugs. But I have never tried Esea. I can "feel" a difference from typical MM and these servers. But nothing to big, alot people always blame 64tick when their bullets don't register. I never really had this problem on normal valve servers. But the community is quite different. Playing on a 128 tick server, I actually see people try and play more serious rather than mm. I feel sometimes on mm I get trolled by my teammates and people don'r care to much to actually try and win. But that is just my opinion from experience!
