CS:GO Discussion Section!

I'm happy to see Sythe branching out to other games! If we want this site to last long term we really need to adapt and look at what else besides Runescape is popular to bring in a new breath of life to the market and community.

I don't know much about CS:GO and if there will be enough to discuss about to warrant having its own whole section, but I am really happy to see this and I think it's a step in the right direction.

Hopefully in the future, we can get a Sythe CS:GO server back up and running like n4n0 did a year or so ago and draw in players on the server to check out Sythe. What happened before was we had a dead server that 4 of us could jump on to play a 2v2, hopefully we can direct people from the server to Sythe, not the other way around.

 

I'm surprised there wasn't a CSGO section already.

 

Will there be a participation minirank here as well?

havnt played CS since Source. is this new version good?

 

I hope so, right now it's performing a bit better than the LoL section when the latter has the incentive of a minirank participation. It's too early to tell how well it's doing or to make a serious comparison as not enough time has elapsed though.

Pros switched, and I believe big tournaments have switched to CSGO. The fast growth of new players on CSGO and having over 5Million unique players last month (includes smurfs) says it's good. It is also a part of twitch's top 4 games that people watches (LoL, Dota 2, Hearthstone and CSGO).I really like it, but I can't really compare it to source when I've never played it.

 

I've played 1.2-1.6, CZ, source, and GO.

GO far surpasses source in every way in my personal opinion. The game play is better, the recoil is better, the mechanics are better, the graphics are better, and the hit boxes are better. If you liked source, you'll love GO.

 

However, the community is 200% worse than what I remember when playing source.

Servers are plagued with 11-15 year olds who will TK, spam mic and just generally act immature and annoy you with their prepube voice over mic.

Also; the game has become less about gameplay and more about finding the le epic gun skins.

 

There's should be CSGO section. Because CS is really famous and community is growing. CS Trading getting more and more popular! I support that!?!?!?!
