Ikr, all I could think of is the people on forums saying "Someday someone is going to blow their face off" :'(

 

Last time it happened to me, I was walking down the road on post. Felt a burning sensation in my pocket. Somehow the friction of my mech rocking around in my pocket caused my button to unscrew out far enough to where the locking ring wasn't preventing it from firing.

Pulled it out of my pocket, subsequently burning my hand in the process, and proceeded to frantically unscrew the bottom to remove my battery. I had to have looked like a heroin addict who just picked up a fix to any onlookers just due to my frantic behavior...... Scared the fuck out of me. Even my battery was smoldering hot to the touch after I pulled it from the impending pipe bomb......

Probably would have lost a chunk of my leg had that bitch vented on me.

 

Damn, that's intense. These things really need better protection lol. Would have sucked to have your leg blown off by a fucking mod lol.

I'm still waiting for the day that I wrap my lips around hot coils, haven't done it yet but seems like plenty of people have.

Needed to re-wick my vape this morning. Nothing out of the ordinary. I proceed to remove the old wick, dry-fire to burn off the gunk that's built up over the last week, no big deal.

POP.

One of my coils is now a crumpled heap of wire. Fuck.... Okay no big deal, I'll go single coil until I get the time to rebuild.

I finish wicking, dripping, etc. Then I have to head to work. I get to work, and before heading in, I bust out my vape. Take a hit... Something's not right

Burn it and check for hotspots... Sure enough there is one. Lovely. I adjust wick, still no luck. RIP that build.

Luckily I decided to bring my Mech/Atlantis combo with me to work as well today, else I would have been in a very bad position.

 

Ahh, I hate when that happens. One time I spent $25 at the shop having one of the guys do an impressive build for me. Twisted wire of different gauges, part had resistance part had zero resistance. Under 0.1 ohm which the guy could have gotten in trouble for because its against their policy.

Take it home, chain vape it for an afternoon because of how hard it hits. Do the same, dry burn it a little too long and I watch the coil just flop over into a twisted piece of nothing lmao...

I don't really dig the mech/atlantis, wattage comes out too low. Most of the time you'll be vaping it at 27 watts when I prefer to hit it at 37.5.

On a side not really enjoying my ipv mini 2. Feels great in my hand, strong enough to power my .2 builds, battery lasts long enough for me to have a long satisfying vape session. Battery does die maybe after an hour or so of chain vaping hard at 70 watts but that doesn't bother me, just throw a couple batteries in my pocket. Only cons are it gets a little warm, not hot or uncomfortable to hold though. Also if you get any juice leak from your rda the surface is already a slippery texture, so it'll just intensify the gross feeling of juice on your hand. Idk its probably just me lmao but I bought a pack of baby wipes and every time it leaks I'll wipe the bitch down.

 

I've found anything higher than 33-35 watts on the atlantis just tastes burnt. Could be my juice.

The sweet spot actually seems to be on a mech in my opinion.

 

High VG? Wide open airflow right?

I'll notice with some flavors after 5-6 seconds if I'm on a long inhale it won't be able to catch up wicking and I'll get a dry hit. If that's not what you're talking about has to be the juice haha.

 

So what do you think of these massive box mods that have 4 26650's in parallel lol...

 

Bought black fire liquid today, and i regret it so fucking much, ended up throwing up after few puffs, don't buy black fire it's disgusting.
On the other hand try out tutty fruity delicious been puffing on it for the past 6 months.

 

is it possible to ape with just water alone? Jw never really heard of these, not planning on doing it either

Vaped in china, looking to get back into it.

I had a really cheap ego-twist. It was a piece of shit but it was my first mod. Love me the fruity flavours, gotta invest in a new e-cig soon so I don't waste $25 on a pack everytime I go clubbing on the weekend.

 

Definitely give it a shot. Cheaper, healthier, and better tasting.

Just pick up a real starter kit. That means a variable voltage battery with the highest capacity you can find, a nicer ego style clearomizer (I like the kanger emow although it seems to have some QA issues), and an ego charger. Of course some ejuice, I prefer the fruity flavors as well.

You won't regret doing it.

Bought one of the huge kanger subtank versions. I'm not sure of the exact capacity, but its nice to be able to put in half a bottle of juice. Comes with a .5 ohm coil, and a 1.1(I think) ohm coil. Then two other coils that haven't been pre-wicked and a platform to build on.

Hits well, not quite as good as the atlantis but still formidable and you don't have to constantly refill it. Build quality is nicer than the atlantis imo. Great to vape in the car with since it takes FOREVER to run out of juice. Only con is I get tired of a flavor before I can finish that much, so I'll fill it a bit less after this tank or put in more of an adv.

Does anyone find that when your tolerance to the hit slowly degrades? i.e an immunity that must be rectified by increased power and/or higher dilution of nicotine?

I've found I gradually find a way to get too used to it, and must upgrade to more power. However, when will this end? Will I reach a point where it's pointless to vape as it doesn't give me what I require?
