    Looking for advice

Private messages or replies on this thread are welcome, but I figured for my first actual, participating post on this community (as opposed to the few years of lurking) I would get some feedback from gents who know far more about RS in general than me.

In essence, I have been experimenting and trying to learn more about RS Botting for some time. I started off trying several different VPS services and settled on one that, while expensive, would be a reliable way to learn the programs without having to worry to the same degree about getting banned.

The problem that arose, is the price. Shelling out $15 a month plus a $5 premium for technical assistance is simply too much for the amount of bots the VPS can handle (almost 2, and not reliably).

I am looking to make a farm that I can scale up, so a cheaply available VPS service is important. And while I don't mind accounts getting banned (its an inevitability I can accept) there's two issues I've yet to figure out:

    1) I need a large volume of legitimate emails. I was using mail.com, but lately within the past few days I've had trouble registering more than 1 or two at any point in time without the system telling me that I need to try again later.

    and

    2) I have no idea how to transfer gold from my bot accounts to my mules. I've heard of drop party (but I don't like the risk), GE shenanigans (again with the risk), and membership (which is too expensive right now for me to be sinking money into).

I tried to move away from the expensive VPS to having a proxy on my own computer, and it seemed promising initially, but I think that I ran too many accounts from the same IP (6 in total, though botting in shifts of no more than a few hours, and occasionally having them take breaks). Almost all of the network got banned within 2 days though (including one of the two I had leftover from the VPS I used before).

So now I'm back to looking into VPS's to try and spread the accounts around, but I still have the issue of even registering enough emails to maintain the accounts.

And that's pretty much my story for the time being. If anyone has advice, or recommendations, or feedback on what I've done wrong and how to improve, I would love to hear it. I've spent a bit of time and money in this project, and I am looking forward to doing this successfully long term.

if 20 a month is too much for two bots worth of cpu resources you are not botting the right things

    $20 is nothing

Normally I'd ask what the proper things are, but I don't know that other's are just going to tell me what they farm. Hence why I figured that since my current methods are netting between 100-300k an hour (depending on the method) I'd instead reduce server hosting costs (hence why I switched to a proxy, which failed miserably).

What could I do to improve this all?

    100-300k is good/normal

    lets be conservative

u have 2 bots, 100k an hour and you run them only 10 hours a day

thats 2m a day from those bots

    2m * 30 = 60m a month = $120+

$120+ minus $20 vps costs and $10 membership costs = $90+ profit a month on those bots

So you can see why $20 a month for a 2 bot vps is not prohibitive

Fair point....I was likely making a mistake trying to run them in only 4-5 hour long shifts to avoid bans. Not to mention having membership would solve the issue of transferring the gold.

Any other feedback you can help me with? Like, any recommendations for the email situation? And should my mule accounts also use membership then?

Edit: Also, for the $120 a month, how much are you pricing out the RS3 gold per million?

Woah, I thougt you were talking about 07.... Rs3 I have no idea about but I dont think its worth if you are only doing 100-300k an hour there. Gold is worth like 1/7th of 07 on rs3.

Well that explains the situation...yeah, I didn't jump right into 07 because when I started, it was a bit more expensive to get involved with. Especially with the risk of ban involved.
