Do you believe in bad people?

Hello friends and warriors of the north.

My name is Ryan and I consider myself to be a business man and perhaps even a warrior of a high magnitude, if you catch my drift.

My question to you all is simple or complex with regard to how you view life, in my opinion.

Do you believe that there are people in this world that you would classify as "evil"?

I, personally, feel as if people whom society would classify as "evil", such as murderers or child molesters have had life experiences in which I have not. Perhaps if I had the same life experience as these people I would turn out the same way.

I feel as if judging anybody in any way is the biggest sin of all.

Not sure if this thread is serious. You can't have good without bad, people alike.

 

I believe when people are born, they are inherently good. It is from our own selfish actions (and the devil) that people choose to do or fall in wrongful actions. I don't think calling someone evil implies they have always been that way, it just means that the actions they've done are so distasteful and inhumane that they are signified by those words.

Not judging but there are people who are just genuinely bad, people who are genuinely good, and people who have good and bad qualities, no one is perfect however.

 

I do believe in bad people and I don't believe we were all born 'good'. Also I believe 'good and bad' is something invented by humans and there is no such thing as real 'good' or 'bad'. Of course I think killing people is awful, and I would say that is very bad, allthough I don't think it really is 'bad', I think humans stamped it as bad.

 

Depends on what you consider is good and what you consider is bad. I believe almost every person has a different view of this. Some people think scammers are bad people, murderers, then it goes into many other things such as race, ethnicity, religion etc. Some people might thing Christians or Muslims are bad people, others might think black people are bad or white people are bad, some might thing people who come from Latin America are bad. Everyone has a different preference, that is what I believe. There is not really solid answer if there are bad/good people or who they are, because everyone thinks differently at who are bad/good.

 

Same here, it all depends on situation though. We never know what are people going through in their own mind or what have they been through in their lifetime.. hard to say

As long as we have a choice... your childhood, experiences and all other life aspects cannot justify being *EVIL*.

But who defines whats evil and whats not?

for example, I will definitely forgive a murderer who murdered to protect his family for example, but i will never forgive a murderer who murdered someone for joy/money or other stupid reasons.

 

That's also debatable. How do you know the murderer needed to do it for money in able to save someone else's life that may be more important to him/here? We never know exactly what is going inside the heads of some people.

 

From the general variety of responses here I have gathered that the majority of you all believe that being evil depends on what one quantifies the act of being evil. For example, an individual may argue that someone is evil based on the act of committing a robbery at a bank with the soul purpose of gaining more money than he or she needs in order to live comfortably. Another person may argue the point that the individual obtains more cunning knowledge than the average man which gives him or her the opportunity to use their unorthodox methods in order to make money.

I did not structure this question correctly and for that I apologise sincerely. It all comes down to what a certain individual defines as an act of evil intent.

 

Some also take the stance that there is no evil. Just survival of the fittest attain what u can to survive and do as you will as you exist.

 

At your mention of a murderer or child molester, if they had experiences that effected their becoming of said murderer or child molester, it clearly says something about the psych behind it all. But it doesn't mean it isn't their fault. The thing with murderers is, whether a psychopathcic or not, they probably know murder is a thing seen as a no-no by social construct. If they do, they're wrong and fuck them. If they don't, it really isn't their fault in a way. If they legitimately didn't know it was a bad thing, for whatever reason, how can they be at fault? That's where the whole insanity defence can come into play. Which is totally reasonable and logical, if accurate. If in a fit of whatever mental illness they have, is it really an act of true violence and "evil"?

That's just what I thought of when I read your post, not sure if my direction is at all what you were trying to provoke out of anyone or not. But yeah.

 

There are people who want to hurt others for pleasure. I don't need to believe in them.

 

its the parents who can only make the future children good or bad, if the parents are teaching them good habits then i salute them. parents should be a good example to their children.

Nobody is born evil...same way nobody is born gay...born a racist, it is the environment which corrupts and alters innocence, which, in all honesty is exceptional and disconcerting knowing that WE are basically responsible for all of human evil..Murderers...Rapists

 

Define good. Define bad.

These are entirely subjective words, thus to look at it OBJECTIVELY rather than subjectively, no, I don't think there is such a thing.
