Jagex selling levels for real money?

No integrity for the game at all, this is just sad.

 

The responses in the high level forums fucking infuriate me.

Like they actually polled it. "Would you buy this" is a whole lot different than "Should we do this"

It's really hard to believe that this "Runescape" we now call rs3, is the same runescape I used to play back in 2010. It's amazing how much a game can change in such a short amount of time. If someone who quit back in 2010 came back and started playing again, I'd have no doubt at all they might think it's a completely different game. I can't wait to see how the rs3 we have now is going to be in another 5 years, and tbh how 07 will be in 5 years.

 

I'm just glad that I'm no longer addicted... I'd be hurt, maybe even as bad as the original removal of the wilderness hurt me. I remember walking into class and looking at my rs pal. Said I quit, he said me too.

I feel sorry for the kids who are in their peak still 😕

Imagine those that have been playing since 2001, like my self. Im only playing Runescape Classic nowadays, as Runescape 3 is beyond shit, and Old School is slowly getting there, as they didn't understand the memo ''NO FUCKING UPDATES''.

 

If by a miracle of a chance they would pass this notion, I can see them directly start to sell GP in a couple of years. Hell they already had treasure chests and squeal of fortune...

Wow, I will definitely quit if something dumb as this is going through. I'm nearly maxed and it has taken really long time for me to achieve that and that if someone could do the same by just showing off their credit card and being rich to show 0 respect to current veteran players I couldnt even bother with such company allowing that to happen. I know jagex is bad but this? What the **** are they they thinking? Only money i quess.

 

it wouldn't bother me if they added the all skills start at 50, but 90 would just kill it.

Although I'd rather not like to see this added. Ever.

 

This is pure disgusting, I mean out of all things they're going to start charging to instantly boost your skill to 90 within seconds? Why fucking play RuneScape anymore lol?

 

Honestly I don't understand what the whole fuss is about - your achievements and how you got them are your own, imo

Oh my fucking God. I can't even laugh cause it was kinda expected. "Players IRL wealth wont give them an advantage" when I heard that the first time I knew this shit would happen down the line.

 

They're desparate for money because they destroyed the game a while ago. If they hadn't, they'd be better off in the long-run. Oh well.

Either extremely cheap or extremely expensive? Probably cheap so everyone would buy it.

It honestly probably would be some ridiculous low amount, which would completely defeat the purpose of the game even moreso. It'd be a private/spawn server, basically.

Honestly, if they did this, I wouldn't be one to complain. I'd finally be done with the game afterall because there'd be no investment in it anymore even though there hardly is one nowadays. Whatever tbh.
