How to trade Rs Accs without recovery!

INTRODUCTION:
Hey guys,
Recently people can't get their RS Acc sold due to the security of the accounts via emailing Jagex to recover the account. There is a way to make sure you can get the account back "if" they try to recover the account. This method extends the time of the trade, which most people wouldn't care due to the difficulty of selling an RS Account, by requesting a manual recovery.

HOW THIS WORKS:
If you are buying an account from an untrusted user there are always chances of a recovery. If you have the recovery info, then you can recover it back!
When buying, the MM/OMM will test the recovery information given to see if Jagex approves this. Of course this will take 24-48 hours, but it is unavoidable. Once the information is proven to be correct, the trade can continue as usual. The buyer will receive the account and the recovery information. The MM/OMM should show proof by forwarding the email to the buyer. There is no reason for the seller to recover the account because the buyer himself can recover the account back. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A BANK PIN! SET IT TO 7 DAYS! If you have this, the seller can not get into your bank and transfer over items. For the first few days/weeks, bank your inventory and gear before logging off just to be on the safe side.

So what do you guys think? Please tell me if you find any "loopholes" and hopefully I will come up with a way to counter it. Thanks for taking your time and check this out!​

 

The problem with a recovery check is that most accounts won't pass it, even with a lot of info, a lot of accounts won't pass the test. Also this takes well over 2 days, perhaps even 3 or 4 to make it happen, I don't really see any MM's wanting to take this long for a trade. Third is that even if your account passes a recovery test, the seller can still e-mail Jagex from the original creation IP and should there encounter a 'recovery fight' (both sides keep on recovering) Jagex will rule in favor of the person with the original IP addres.

 

This would be extremely annoying and I doubt it would work. If someone sells their acc and wants it back, they can always get if back. True the buyer might be able to recover the acc back one time, but I have no doubt in my mind the seller can email Jagex with the creation IP just as Khaini said to gain full control of the account.

The original owner will always get it back. Doing this from a remote I.P will flag that I.P and prevent additional recoveries. If the 2nd owner tried to email JaGex, he or she would most definitely receive an email that claims they are not the true owner. There is no way to safely trade a Runescape account, no matter how hard someone tries.

 

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be harsh, I just wanted to contribute to your post. Of course, it'd be wonderful if this was possible, but sadly it is not :/. I'm sorry you feel offended.

 

Ok not to be harsh or anything but this thread will probably get locked soon. Most MM/OMM, or anyone who has been in the RS market will tell you that your idea won't work. Few MM/OMM who are legit would be willing to do a recovery that lasts for like 2-4 days. Even if they did, there would be a major risk of locking since multiple IPs logging in. In addition as already stated the orig owner simply has to request account from the normal IP or creation to get it back along with the recovery question. Remember: you will NEVER have as much information as the original owner. Therefore, you will NEVER be able to recover it from the original owner.

Just saying this because I don't want people to get the false perception that there is a fail-proof method of purchasing accounts 100% without risk.

 

At the slight chance, an mm can test recovery and its successful, you can possibly rrcover the account, but its unlikely. Ip is not original, and original owner airways has more power over the account.

If there was a real way to make account trafes totally safe, it'd have to be on Jagex's end, which won't happen.

 

There is no failsafe method to keep accounts you buy 100% secured. A seller could give you enough information to recover the account while withholding certain details and if you 2 became engaged in a recovering war he would always win. I have to close this since it's purporting to be a way to guarantee account safety and there's no such thing
