vanilla prepaid cards

I have a few questions regarding those

- who can redeem them
- are they chargebackable in any way?

I'd be very happy if someone could answer that

 

whoever sells you the card always has the information to use it to buy stuff online if you give them like 15m for a $25 prepaid card they can take your 15m and then use the $25 card and buy like more gold for example, i would only buy from trusted only as thats the only way it will be safe.

 

If a vanilla prepaid card is bought, it must be registered to use online. This includes any billing information you would see on a typical CC, plus an email address. First step if you wanted to buy one, understand that it can be used by the owner of the physical card even if the cards information is in your possession (card number, CCV, exp). As long as there is a balance on the card it can be used
physically at a store. If you know that risk, then proceed to buy it. I have dealt with Visa once for a card that someone somehow used after I bought it (way back when I was younger and couldn't get a cc). It's a long drawn out process with visa but ultimately i got credited back the amount (location bought versus location used). So chargebacks are possible. Use a MM if buying one, give mm money and make sure the card isn't already registered and register your info to it (there is a site on back of the card to do that). As long as the card was bought IN America, it can be registered from someone in America. Same thing with canada. Basically use the card as fast as you can if you buy one.

 

Nah, you don't need to register any information with Vanilla Visa Giftcards. Their cards don't really use an AVS-type system.

If you want to use it online, it's a must. The card won't go through without any type of billing information.

 

i used a prepaid vanilla card never registered to donate toa server, but it wasn't a rechargeable credit card, so it could vary.

 

Vanilla Visa? Vanilla Visas don't even have the option to register your billing information, only the zip code.

Name, address, phone number, etc. can't be registered to a vanilla visa gift card, unless you're referring to the reloadable one that also requires your SSN.

If you're referring to the regular prepaid giftcards those only let you register zip codes.

 

Just wanted to throw in my input:

It's much more secure to only accept cards that the owner can prove they purchased with cash. Cards purchased in other methods are more easily chargebacked and things of that nature.

That's what people on Local BTC and even many Sythe people do -- always trying to cut down on profit loss due to scams and dishonest traders.
