Gambling Section / Poker sub-forum

Support. I love poker.

 

I support it as a sub forum addition to the sandbox.

 

Support, love poker, playing and watching. Would possibly bring new members to sythe.

There is a need for it, it's only a question if the best way to do it is to create a Poker section or a sub-forum in one of the current sections or create a new one called Gambling.

 

Support 100% for the gambling section, instead of just having sports betting in the sports section then some betting in the sandbox section. It should be all in one place.

Alternative: maybe keep sandbox, then have gambling/dicing, poker, and minirank selling as subsections?

 

The problem with an endorsed gambling section/feature on site is the legal aspect. I believe sythe has already denied something like this in the past for that reason, but I don't remember exactly.

If this were purely a DISCUSSION section, I think it might be okay, but that may be where the line would have to be drawn.

Yes, only discussion. For example, to discuss tactics, winnings, losses, post videos, general questions, whatever type of gambling it may be, such as poker, roulette, dice, staking etc

 

There is no legal aspect. Advertising/mentioning online casinos/poker rooms etc. online is all good. We mentioned PokerStars etc in the past.

It's full of various threads, it needs a sub-section at least.
Also, think about new members who will come through improved SEO (because we will mention poker rooms/casinos, bonuses etc).

 

I see no harm in it being added.
Give it a few weeks, it can easily be removed if there is lack of activity.

What can't be put in dicing/sandbox that needs to be put in this new sub?

 

Sandbox is a section about everything and it won't be easy to find related threads there.

Dicing has nothing to do with this (this can stay in RuneScape section).
It's all about money gambling, like online casinos/poker.

Poker related discussion:
- There isn't a whole lot to discuss about the game itself [whichever poker we consider]

Poker Rooms:
- You obviously are looking for this section so you can advertise poker rooms for referral bonuses. Otherwise, once again, there isn't a whole lot to talk about poker rooms. There are countless review websites out there and I don't think people truly care about a RS community's opinion of poker sites.

ALSO, keep in mind, majority of users on this website aren't of legal age.

- Honestly? No one cares.


Although I played poker myself on Stars, Tilt and countless other sites for years, this isn't needed here.
