Not sure if this is the correct place to post this but heres my story. A month ago I bought a rsn from someone on sythe (not going to give out his name before I know if this is his fault) and today while I was playing on my account I noticed that my name was changed back to what it originally was. I was really confused but eventually came to the conclusion that he must have contacted jagex and somehow had the rsn returned to him. I was going to make a report in the report market section but decided to go check the account he had given me originally with the rsn that he sold me. And there it was, the rsn got returned to that account. I immediately bought bonds and transferred the rsn back to my account. Now what I don't understand is why didn't he recover that account if he wanted to steal the rsn back? Maybe he failed? Or maybe this somehow isn't his fault? Still doesn't explain why jagex would return the rsn. This is the first time this situation ever happened to me so any feedbacks or ideas on what happened and what I should do to prevent this would be great. Also I just checked skype and he deleted me.

 

Most likely he was trying to get the original account locked so he could recover, but the account wasn't locked in time.

He is also most likely going to try again and get the display name back.

This happened to me with buying the name "Famous", and now the name is locked and I'm out of pocket 50m OSRS gp...

 

Best thing to do would be to report him, follow the templates and I hope you get to keep your name.
