    Tom DeLonge leaves Blink 182

    http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/tom-delonge-leaves-blink-182-20150126

"Tom DeLonge, longtime guitarist and co-vocalist of the punk trio Blink-182, has left the group, his bandmates announced in a statement Monday. Suspicions began when the band revealed that Alkaline Trio guitarist/singer Matt Skiba was recruited to join Blink-182 at the group's upcoming headlining set at drummer Travis Barker's eighth annual Musink Festival on March 22nd in Orange County, California, KROQ reports."

I'm sure I'm not the only one here who grew up listening to and loving Blink.

Nope but I lost interest at Take Of your Pants and Jacket. Grew up on Cheshire cat and dude ranch.

Still a shame. Its not blink without tom..

Its always sad to hear about a band splitting. Only liked a few of their songs personally.

I honestly think blink 182 is really overrated. it's one of those bands I never understood why everyone worshipped them. I listened to Dude Ranch, Enema of the State, and a couple other albums and I never got into any of them...

Interesting. Take Off Your Pants and Jacket is probably my favorite by them.

As bummed that I am about this news, Mark and Travis are fantastic and I'd bet this will lead to them putting out new stuff much more quickly than they were before.

I dont think they'll be the same, it especially sucks that they were supposed to release a new album this year as well :(

Mark and Travis are fantastic without Tom (+44 kicked ass), but it's still a bummer.

I liked the faster punkier earlier albums. I still enjoyed TOYPAJ (sweet acronym) but it started to sound a little too polished and produced. Aside from the mark tom and Travis show I own no later blink albums.

Then again by that time my musical tastes were rapidly developing. I was just a pup. I still blast old pop punk fairly often, nostalgia mode.

Sounds like he was a bit of a jerk anyway.
