I'm using one right now. MSI GE70 2OE-017US
    http://www.amazon.com/MSI-GE70-2OE-...1423284421&sr=8-1&keywords=MSI+GE70+2OE-017uS
You can get it used for $960. I'm selling my own on Ebay for about the same price because these things are good. Just make sure you update the Killer E2200 Networking LAN adapter if you buy one, because if not it will cause blue screen issues when you use it. I figured that out and fixed the problem, not a single blue screen since i've updated the driver.

Any MSi laptop is a fantastic buy. Their features are second to none. I never was a huge fan of the GE series BC of the all plastic build, but then my GT is mostly all plastic also, just a sturdier build. Surprisingly well built machine. Nonetheless, for the price you can't do much better than the GE's in the 1k price range unless you buy a sager...and even then you lose out on some of the sweet features MSi offers.
