Advice needed

Hey guys,

Long time since I've played Runescape (502 days)

I have an account which I use to play a fair bit was very decent but I've been told is pretty much worthless now..

Stats are

Att 99
Def 40
Str 99
HP 90
Ran 90
Mag 90
Pray 52

My friend told me to get 50 defence at least as 40 is worthless now..

Would love to hear everyones opinion as I'm completely lost.

They are not useless, they are just not good. Just work your way up and try what you can but remember to always have fun and never force yourself to play, it will get boring really fast.

 

The reason he said 40 def is useless now, is because you can't even wear rune armor at 40 defense, you need 50 defense. Also if you are going to be looking to do the new bosses in rs3, the stats you have will not suffice. Most ppl who boss on rs3 have at least 95+ all combat stats when going against Kalphite Queen, Vorago etc.

 

50 defense for rune armor, since when?

either way, this is a great account and you should not listen to your friend.

 

Being a Pure/Zerk is pretty much useless in RS3 now since all money making requires way higher reqs like bossing and such

 

There's not a lot of pking to be done in RS3 and as others have mentioned rune armor takes 50 defence now.

 

Since the updates in RS3, Rune Armour required 50 defence, hence killing off zerkers etc. Staking is dead. You might aswell get high defence for bossing, as that's all that's worth having. If you change your mind you get a one-time defence reset nowadays anyways.

 

Awesome, thanks for the advice everyone. I Just got 50 defence for rune. For some reason can't seem to bring my self to go over that but.. Might give 07 a go instead and just leave my combat stats as they are...

 

well i hope they dont do that in osrs. that would be a bummer

 

40 defence is pretty useless because they update the game to make it worse and worse all the time.
