Unique Boosting Situation

Has anyone had this happen to them.

Duo Boosting with Sellerman, we have like a 95% w/l ratio over 25 games, and won the last 3 games from G5 0LP to G5 Promos (gaining 35+ LP per game). Played the first game, lost, 0-1 Promos. Played the second game, won, G3 30LP.

We went from 0-1 Promos (G5), to G3 30LP in 1 game. So we skipped promotions, without finishing them, and gained 30LP while being in promos.

Anyone heard of this before?

 

Can confirm, just happened to us.

So good though, not only skipping (which is normal), but not even having to play all the promos lol.

 

Well I have now lol. Could it be a bug with MMR being so high it just insta moved you? Weird. But grats

 

You are lying heeatz, i was in a call with you before, i was boosting in promos, won the promo, skipped a division, won next game and was at 75 lp.

 

We didn't actually complete promos though. We should have went 1-1 in our promo match, but instead we went from 0-1 to G3 30LP.

 

Never heard of this happening, not necessarily a bad thing though.

I believe its a bug, you should have skipped from g5 to g3 originally but instead they put you in promos that didn't really exist. Your first loss in "promos" was actually a loss at a g3 0 LP and then your win was also at g3 0 LP. I assume the system just corrected itself.

 

Oo nice! As others are saying, I would too say its most likely a bug but this is no doubt interesting.
