So it's "ridiculous" to request that people don't get away with scamming by just saying their Skype was hacked and not sending a private message. Can you please also reply REQUIRING private messages for sales websites? It seems like almost every popular gold site has been hacked at least once. Previously owning a website, I can tell you that the chat systems can be hacked by social engineering, just like Skype.

Or can you publish a list of places off of Sythe where the proof will be held valid?


I don't care what you guys do as long as you're not half-assed about it and explain it properly to the users. I'm obviously not very active on Sythe anymore, so all of my examples are going to be pertaining to me, but here's an example. Can someone please tell me how that report is valid proof based on the same logic?

• He waited "over 72 hours" for a reply
• I was on vacation
• 3ncorezs' proof that I wasn't on vacation clearly stated there was a backlog
• I was given 24 hours to respond
• I was "banned" except I wasn't
• The same person made the same report on multiple communities
• He stated that he originally bought it through YoHoJo
• He did not receive a private message from me
• I'm not even the registered owner of VirMach; I do however handle a lot of the things
• Most of his 'proof' is censored to where I wouldn't even be able to locate his tickets let alone it being solid proof for me to be banned
• He got refunded and the dispute was resolved on another community, yet he didn't even care to state that after SellerMan said I would be banned

Can people really get away with making a shitty dispute, and then get ridiculed for a dispute with proof when they don't have a Skype private message? Can you guys at least still take into account Skype disputes if it's fucking obvious the person was not hacked? You know, for example, if the person states their Skype was never hacked, or if they say they still have control of it, or anything else where it's logical to still see it as proof?

Don't require pm? Imposters > newfags
Require pm at all times? newfags are newfags.
Responsible for Skype? Hackers>Newfags also fuck Skype.

Solution? Sythechat implemented properly...

 

Going to agree with Blade on this one. I would love for Sythechat to be well implemented and frequently used. I consider my Sythe account a hundred times more secure than my Skype account, seeing as any Skype account could probably be hacked fairly easily if they knew what they were doing. If we have Sythechat there's no need for my IP to be easily obtainable or my Skype account being at risk of being hacked.

SE isn't a hard thing to do. I don't want to be responsible for someone being scammed if I get hacked while I'm asleep, just because they didn't ask for a PM like my thread and signature clearly tells them to. It's not my fault that they don't read stickies.

Additional point: Websites may be prone to hacks but not outright social engineering that can't be stopped.
