Is there any way to get unbanned if your account was legitimately hacked?

So my account was legit hacked a few months ago, I quit runescape at the time and didn't notice when it was actually hacked. Anyways, I try to come back and the account registered email is changed. I then recover the account and get all the details back, to notice that my account is banned. Is there any way I could get it unbanned?

Appeal if the ban is appealable. If there is a difference in IPs that is noticeable sometimes (rarely) jagex will just automatically accept the appeal if you write that "I was hacked in it" and the system notices a dramatic difference in IPs.

I've also head of successes in tweeting them for unbans. Sometimes they will manually "quash" a ban if you get lucky enough for them to view/respond to your tweet. I don't have twitter though so IDK how that works.

 

Best you can try to do is to tweet Mod Weath about it with enough evidence that it was hacked

 

Short answer: no.

If you tweet them they will tell you that you are responsible for keeping your account secure, and it will remain banned. They do not unban for IP differences anymore, even if you were legitimately hacked.

Sent them a few tweets and used the appeal system.

yeah, what I meant by didnt have to tweet them was I didn't have to tweet @jagexsupport, instead I decided to tweet a moderator directly, then we chatted via twitter pm.

 

Had no luck getting previous accounts unbanned this way, especially when they were hacked/banned. Can you give me a name to contact?
