Why are American's Bred to Hate Communism

Since the Soviet Union's spread of Communism beginning in the 1930's when China became Communist along with many neighbouring European countries followed by Vietnam and Cuba the U.S government have bred fear of Communism into U.S citizens. Today American's are recognized for hating the Communist regime & still object to Communist sympathizers, why? It is quite clear the U.S will never become Communism since the Cold War so why do they still breed hatred among the community?

I bet most people that say they hate it don't even know what it is. I used to think it was some evil dictatorship, until I learned what it was. Sure, I'm still against it, but I don't think of it as evil anymore.

 

Because Americans thinks were a democracy when were a republic.

Communism, in its history, has never been succesful in the sense of a country that is not under tryany or economic hardship. Communism, can't work properly. It's an old way of thought that just can't be successful in modern day society.

We're not still bread to hate it, we're taught what it is. Some people decide to like it, where most hate it.

Well, comunism is the exact opposite of what the American system of government is based on, so a bit of brainwashing is sometimes necessary to keep the country alive i guess

 

You're ignorant. Republic and democracy aren't mutually exclusive terms. The United Sates is a democratic republic.

The reason most hate communism is that in most instances, it is proven not to work. On paper, it sounds like a pretty good idea, but when you actually put it into action, it doesn't work that well.

As said above, Hitler was not communist. You should know better, unless you were being sarcastic.

 

i just learned this today actually in history class... many people in the 1920s resorted to communism after the war... going back to there old jobs didn't get them any money. They thought it was better to be runned off of communism so everyone was equal. Kind of a smart idea, they would of been better off going socialists though. Kinda died out in 1909. After the IWW they had 70,000 radicals join the communist party.

Ive always thought like this..."When the capitlist system caves in, communism will take over."

Im communist and i am american....But i do believe the the basic pricipals of communism needs some work but its an all together good system...

 

comunisn is sick, people who are communist take everything from the people keep 80% of it then give a little back so everyone is poor and powerless, plus they usally do lots of other sick stuff like uthanasia

 

I really don't know. China is a communist country and it is a very successdful country. U.S.A. dose trades with China every day but the're communist so shouldn't they stop?
