Steelseries is pretty good. I've been using them for years. Nothing but quality.

Id suggest Turtle beaches as they make great quality headphones/headsets, they are in a decent price range, right now I am using the PX - 3 wireless headphones and they work really well and was only about $100, going to your local gaming store or ordering online is defnitely the best options.

I have had the same Turtle Beaches since they came out (X22 or whatever) so I am in dire need of an upgrade... I swear it's been years and years.

Not sure if you two read what he was saying... He wants a pair for travel purposes.

And Turtle Beach has gone to trash. I would never EVER buy a pair of their headphones again... EVER! Honestly they sound like trash and break if you even open the box wrong. Then the customer service gives you BS excuses as to why it's your fault. In short, I would rather use a pair of 5 dollar cans over crappy Turtle Beaches!

When it comes to traveling headphones just go with Sony. Their headphones that are around 100 bucks are equal if not better than Beats studio headphones. I've had both at the same time and couldn't notice the difference except Sony ones had better bass.

I have to back this recommendation up.
I have them and it feels incredibly light compared to other headphones.
Sound quality, imo, is very neutral and not distorted like Beats or anything, but still good.
If you're looking for extreme comfort (I wear these practically all day) with good quality, get the AD700. They may look funky, but man they are comfy.

Never used them, but I've heard the Corsair Vengeance series was good. I was looking at getting a pair of Corsair Vengeance 2100s or whatever on eBay for about $150 when I have the cash actually.

I still haven't bought any because I haven't gotten my first paycheck yet so I am poor as fuck. I think I'm going to get the Audio Technica ATH-M50s once I get it into the bank.

So I got these. They fit a lot differently than the Steelseries I have. I haven't worn them all day yet (not gotten into any 7 hour coding sessions) so I can't comment on how they feel after that time but they feel pretty good for the bit I wear them.

You can try stretching them through a number of methods...
    1. Using your head until they are adjusted
    2. Using the box and leaving them stretched over the box for a while.
    3. Get a headphone rest for them.

As for headphone, i have a few great suggestions you can look into.

    1. Audio Technica ATH-M50x. A great balanced headphone for general listening
    http://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technic...technica&pebp=1422653692598&peasin=B00HVLUR86

    2. Logitech UE 6000. Active noise turned off, greatly balanced. On, a bass head's delight
    http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-982-...=UE+6000&pebp=1422653789773&peasin=B0094S36RI

    3. Sennheiser G4ME ZERO Great for gaming. Mixed perfectly for FPS's. Not bad at music too. Much better than astro's or turtle beaches
    http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-G4...ame+zero&pebp=1422653849609&peasin=B00GWU8FAE

    4. Sennheiser HD 598 Very "open". People around you will hear your music, but if will feel like you're in a large outdoor concert
    http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-HD...TF8&qid=1422653942&sr=1-9&keywords=headphones

    5. Sennheiser HD201 The cheapos that don't sound cheap
    http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-Li...TF8&qid=1422654009&sr=1-5&keywords=headphones

    6. V-MODA Crossfade M-100 The bass-head's dream. Balanced and boomy. Just get the XL pads
    http://www.amazon.com/V-MODA-Crossf...TF8&qid=1422654107&sr=1-9&keywords=headphones

    7. An honorable mention (And great if you own a PS3/4).
    http://www.amazon.com/Playstation-P...TF8&qid=1422654188&sr=1-2&keywords=Sony+elite

Also, i'll throw this down here:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0FGY6cYCMNo

And as a last note, you should let any new audio device play at 80% volume for roughly 40 hours because you crank them to 100. Also, a nice sound card (USB, or PCI) will increase sound quality greatly, as ell as an amp.

A few months later update: The foam is much more durable than my Steelseries which is very soft and hardly does anything at this point. It means that these new ones are a bit harder but thats fine. The connector is a bit finicky if it gets pulled to one side only one ear works but that only happens if it gets seriously bent. There is also a spring on the wire to stop that from happening and it could also just be my really shitty work docking station. Overall very happy with the purchase.

Eh, you need to control your dog.
This is one of the reasons i don't buy one; i had a cat; it started scratching stuff and messed my car up so i gave that away too.
