Anyone play Clash of Clans?

I've played it, it seemed like an alright game but the only thing that drove me away was the temptation of having to buy gems. I guess I'm just really bad at playing micro transaction iOS games.

 

Completely depends on your playstyle. Some people I know just check it once a day before they sleep. Others can play for hours on end (bit of a lie - the most you can play is ~3mins every 10 mins when raiding other bases). Just depends on what you want to do and how much you feel you want to invest into the game

 

That just seems more of a chore, rather than actually making yourself feel like you're playing a game. I don't understand how someone can be like "yeah I play Clash of Clans, it's a good game" when you're only realisticly touching the game for not even an hour each day? I mean, that would drive me crazy. Then on top of that, the forcability to make players choose between gems or a goddamn waiting barrier really pisses me off. I mean a hut in a game shouldn't take 1 day and 24 minutes to build.

Nonetheless, the game is very good, the mechanics are good. I guess I'm more of a computer gamer and hardly ever play games on my phone, unless I'm seriously bored.

 

I play Throne Rush - it's similar to clash of clans, however, it is playable in a web-base platform - Facebook.

 

I got a level 110. TH10.

 

I started playing but I then realized it was complete pay to win and stopped playing then.

 

Yeah that's kinda true. That's mostly why I'm considering if I should stop playing. The pay to win is just to hard to compete with if you're a free player. It'll take so long if you want to get stronger. We'll see if I continue for a bit longer. I'm doing pretty good so far though for F2P, got my Gold III tier now.
