2014-2015 NBA Discussion Thread

Overall the cavs got a center, jr smith and shumpert and dint really give up jack shit for them. Waiters was on his way out it was only a matter of time. The picks were mostly extra too. This doesnt mean the Cavs are a complete team by any means, but ore inside and perimeter defender is no doubt an improvement.


Also the Spurs seem to be quite streaky so far.

 

Cleveland Cavaliers are getting so many new assets but they need to work on team chemistry.

 

The bulls are going to be the team to beat for the next few years.

 

Thoughts on Jeff Green and Tayshaun Prince trade? Grizzles just got stronger.

 

The Thunder's rhythm and consistency is out of sync this year, due to the injuries, but in his first home game Dion Waiters had a clutch three to put OKC up by 4 the end the game.

If anything, the Pistons, Hawks, and Bulls are the top three competitors for the East as of now, with the Raptors and Wizards not far behind, then the Bobcats running up. The West have the Warriors, Spurs, and Mavericks as the top three competitors with the Clippers, Rockets and Trailblazers not far behind.

If anyone says that the Timberwolves, Sixers, Nets, or Knicks have any sort of chance they must be out of whack because those are the absolute worst teams in the league. (The Celtics I feel have a chance if they get their shit together)

The Celtics are high off something to give Green away for Prince and a 2019 first round draft pick. Jeff Green is streaky, but a much better player than prince.

 

They are in complete rebuilding stages. Celtics are doing the smart thing.

 

Cavs vs Clippers game was a GREAT game. I'm glad I stayed up to watch it. They needed this win as a confident booster. Hopefully they can build from these last two games.

 

I don't think they gained that much confidence. The Lakers aren't even good right now and the Clippers are struggling. To gain confidence, they'll have to beat a top team like the Hawks or Warriors.

 

Clippers are a contending team. When you look at the standings of the western conference, there is little difference from the 3rd seed to the 6th seed. The clippers can beat any team from the east in a playoff series, so it's definitely a confidence booster, considering they are on the road.

 

Atlanta Hawks are just on a rampage if they keep this up for one more month they pretty much secure top seed in the East and a trip to the Eastern Conference Finals they are just destroying everybody East and West they are by far the 2nd best team in the NBA maybe even tied for first with Golden State.

 

Cavs are doing great. I can't wait for shumpert to come back, and for the game against the thunder on the 25th.

Btw brian, your raptors are doing pretty bad. They lost 7 of their last 10 games.

There going through a slump still in a good position and lock in for top 3 in the East because they are in the Atlantic Division they are literally tied with the Bulls and Wizard's...

From what I hear they are eyeing Kenneth Faried in a trade deal but I don't think it will happen unless Toronto gives up something nice and that's not worth it.

Atlanta Hawks are just crazy right now I can't wait to see them play Golden State it will be interesting... Though I don't think there play style right now will transition over to the playoff's there's just no way if it does they will sweep everyone straight to the finals...

Kyle Lowry got a Starting spot on the Eastern conference all-star team like wow I thought he would just be a reserve but to start that's amazing.

James Harden with the game winner. Rockets need to win by more if they want to advance in the post-season though.
