fish running

Hi guys,

just noticed that multi logging is not punishable anymore (except for breaking common rules). So I'm wondering is it ok and legal to be i.e. fishing with one acc and banking with another by multi logging? Sorry if this was asked already, couldn't find.

 

why would you need fish running? the bank literally next to fishing spot in fishing guild.

 

Unless he's fishing elsewhere for some reason. Or wants to save couple seconds lol.

 

Not against the rules to do, but surely it isn't a smart thing to do. The attention required cancels out the 1-2k xp ph you might save doing this.

 

Your 2 accounts can't interact in any way when multi logging.

I don't read much on Runescapes rules- but I don't think that's the case, or half the community would be banned... Feel free to correct me.

@OP, I don't see much point to doing this, as stated above you will receive slightly more xp per hour but I don't think it's substantial enough to go to the effort for.

 

That's what rule says. So as I understand interaction is allowed but it must not break the rules or abuse game mechanics. What interests me is whether Jagex understands the multi-log banking as abusing game mechanics or not?

 

It's not abuse since the additional experience gained is so minimal. No one in their right mind would do this tbh.

 

Half the community should be banned, correct. But their not going to over silly things. Just saying that technically it's against rules.

 

Why so? I mean for p2p - yeah, that would be stupid. But if you're f2p, when there's no bank near, I think that's fast and pretty profitable way. I.e. You catch inventory of trouts/salmons in barb village -> give it to your mule -> continue fishing while banking with other acc -> repeat. The xp rate would be probabbly the same as if you had dropped the fish + you'll be making gp from banking fish instead of dropping it. Same could be applied to other skills.

Xp rates are faster for dropping with AHK. Realistically the money gained by banking salmon and trouth is so insignificant, it makes the extra effort not worth it, even for f2p.

 

But could be used for other things like mining, getting the full xp for power mining but still getting the ores in bank. I see several ways this could be usefull.

 

That's what I had in mind. The only thing keeps bugging me can I do this without any worries or this might get attention from jagex? The problem is abstractness of the rule what abusing game mechanics is and what is not.

 

Could it be useful? Sure.

Is it worth it? Not so much.

That's where I was getting at. I'm not sure about the f2p trade restrictions, but you may as well just give the account money to buy back the supplies you drop if you're going for efficiency.

Yeah it's absolutely fine to multi-log

 

I talked to a mod once about trading between accounts, they said its alright as long as the items you are trading were obtained in a legitimate way.

 

You won't be banned for this.
