h1j2q3 scammed me

With apologies to h1j2q3.

I was scammed, but definitely not by him, as it turns out. I guess this makes me a cautionary tale.

 

When he offered $250 and then was instantly fine with $550, I thought that would've been a good indication to get PM confirmation or to use an OMM.

Do you not have any proof of in-game screenshots or anything other than the Skype logs?

 

Unfortunately, I do not. And while you're right that the price switch should have been a red flag, I suppose I interpreted it as a quick attempt to try for a great deal if possible. While I realize my accusation is tenuous at best, and I doubt I can recover any goods from this, I'm going to let it stand until I figure out for sure I wasn't scammed by him.

 

Update: thanks to a heads up from another forumite, I dug deeper into the guy's Skype account. For whatever reason, on my computer, it didn't give me his actual account ID, but when I checked on another computer, it was, indeed, a different ID than h1j2q3's.

Well damn. I sincerely apologize to h1j2q3.
