Tips on how to become a gfx/runescape mod

Hi,
My names Brent and I've been working towards getting graphic/runescape mod!

But, I was wandering if any staff or community members could give me some extra tips as to becoming one?

I believe that moderator is not something that you should strive for, rather be the best community member you can possibly be. If the staff team wants you as a moderator they will recruit you. The main message in this post is just to stay true to yourself and don't change to 'attempt' to become a moderator.

 

The only thing I've done different is been more active I guess, which is for the better!

I can't give you firsthand advice since I'm not a mod myself, but from what I've seen when people get promoted it really has to do with not only activity in that specific section but community involvement overall. I'm sure if you stick to being active on Sythe in general for a few years and you show good intent you'll be promoted

 

First tip: don't make threads like these.

 

My advice is stay away from it, you just lose hours of your life doing nothing productive. You really don't need it.

 

yeah listen to him, laptop wasted literally 2 days of his life and will probably never want to become staff again :/

 

2 months actually. Long enough to know there's nothing at the end of it.

 

@OP:

This is the best advice. Staff are hand chosen and typically the ones "striving" for a staff position don't usually get it. Engage yourself in the community, and just be a good community member and you'll be fine.
