EMO, Why?

I think emo kids need help, and the poser emo kids are just fucking up the punk scene, nowadays you don't know if somewbody is poseremo or poserpunk. I am punk (not a poser), but I dont dress like one, I just wear baggy pants, becuase I feel comfortable in them, and hoodies. In the summer I just wear T-shirts, some times black, red white, or other colors. I know I am different, but I don't draw attention, the only thing that says im punk is my schoolbag, and my books(that are covered with anarchy signs, =D ) OK everybody here thinks im a poppunk kid, but I'm not! The only reason I posted those bands is because I hardly knew anythig about punk. They posted names of real pnk bands, and I am attracted to that music. I still have some poppunk-ish songs on my MP3-player, but not more than 5 or 6.

I don't understand the fact: hardcore emotional part becuase I listen to hardcore, and it sounds nothing like emo music!

and a note to the emo kids (I normally want to say: go kill urself, but since this post changed my mind): don't let people fuck with you! Hit back, and if they call you a pussy, or just answer with: ur so though, you can only hit the emotional kids, not somebody ur own size, etc....

and to the "cutters": try calling dr. Phil or something........

 

in the begining of emonessss, it was great, u were different u were emo because it was u, but now more and more peolpe are considering themselves "emo" and really..... emoness has just became another trend brought on by dumb little bands like Green Day and stuff.........

and to all the faithful true emos that kno in their heart that they are real emo and not this "new trend", i salute u :]

i mean really posser emos are everywhere nowdays im sure half of them have never evn cut or dont evn kno termonology and stuff that is essential to true emoism.....so posers just stop posing and go back to your normal little lives........its gettn old.....

lol, this is funny, we were just talking about trends in my psychology class this morning, and before that i had no idea what a emo was. but from what i've read here, i think its pretty stupid.

meh, emo people arnt always bad, there usually people who have had a bad life, and they can be really nice once you get past there outer looks/ and attitude if they dont know you, plus usually there more creative in stuff like poetry and can actaully past school unlike preps lol

I wear hoodies and nice slim pants (not the fucking tight ass girl pants that emos wear) that fit, but I am called an emo. I don't listen to emo bands, unless Rammstein and BassHunter count. I have emo poser friends, yet I am called emo. What the fuck, I don't cut myself, I don't cry because I have nothing else to do, my style is mine because I am comfortable with it not because I want to "fit" in. I do however hangout with a lot of stones next to the emos.

first of all , do you even know what the hell an anarchist is? its someone who doesnt believe in the laws that we have. has nothing to do with music etc. although all the anarchists i know listen to rock or metal not emo bull shit (although i wouldnt even bother hanging around someone like that because there morons) 2nd scars dont make you an emo , cuting your arms open makes you a stereotype emo , and doing the other shit you named off makes you retarded , so i believe your a poser emo bud.

not sure what your getting at on the first part , but i agree on the 2nd part , but you gotta remember that everything with a thought is considered emotional , therefore all music is emotional in someway ... but the whole "lets wear our sisters clothing and dress like fags" is totally rediculas ,not to mention most of the music i have ever heard that is emo or emos acting like goths such as , my chemical romance , the used , aiden , and many more are all no talent music that sucks lyrically an musically.

i agree on the first , part , dont care about the emo music, and i believe they need to listen to some real music , but obviously you dont know too much about punk , because punk rock people etc. dont dress in girls clothing and wear retarded shit. i think you need to look at what punk rock is before you comment on it.

the point that emo people are here is nothing , it will all end and a new trend will come eventually . i mean look at it , back in the 1900-1940s was all country bluegrass music , 1950's = soft rock blues etc. (elvis bb king etc.) 1960's hippy music greatful dead etc. 1970-80's disco and begining of metal and hard rock , 1990's not much but some rap , goth music , grunge boy bands and techno , 2000 rap , emo , and very little but some rock\metal

so if you look most have about a 10-20 year period of things , so it will all pass , it will just take time for the kids to realise how ignorant there acting and for them to grow up a little bit.
