advice pls

Yo, so I'm transferring to a 4 year school in the fall (currently attending community college), and I'll get my BA once I'm done at the 4 year.

Should I go ahead and get my A.S. at this community college, or just have 60 credits transfer over with no A.S.?

community college be saving me about $23k bruh + I'm making an extra $10-20k since I'm not away at school

yea no, community college is definitely the smart way to go. unless your parents dont give a fuck and dont mind spending the money - i think the first year dorm life is an experience ill always remember so thanks mom and dad and soccer shit.

Oh it's the smart way, it's just the shitty way to go. Community college blows hard core dick, there's absolutely nothing to do (well, compared to an actual school), no student life or anything so I spend my time either working or just chilling with people. Still blows though.
Yeah I can imagine the dorm experience was quite interesting, I've visited peeps and stayed with them and it's been quite fun. People are so nice too, had like 4 different people offer me places to sleep lols.

School wise? It's the #2 public school in the nation so like it's a good school and it has a good Political Science program (why I'm looking at going there.)

Still not 100% set on where to go, get me instate at UC Davis and I'll come bruh

@justin you a somebody bruh, you're bout to be all famous soccer player and such, but the campus is ight, quite old though (well shit TJ built it), it's quite nice and the town/city ain't too bad

@hamonze why tho, it'll be a pain in the ass for me to get it tbh (classes i need will make me have a very shitty schedule)

@duke, yeah it is pretty preppy so i'm kinda worried about that, but i figure there are groups everywhere you go and i'm sure i'll meet people i'll actually chill with no matter what school i go to, like vcu is a hella hip school lol

Yeah Richmond is expensive AF. My brother got a full scholarship though I'm pretty sure. I'll ask him tomorrow.

UVA is a great school man. If you can pull that off, do it. That is a valuable degree with a lot of prestige. UVA is not an easy University to get into. The campus is also very nice. I'm sure you'll find 1-2 beauties there too, they're at every school.

I'd say go for UVA.

It is a pretty swell school, just hope I can pull off the atmosphere (I'm not all that preppy), but we shall see, will be applying at UVA in the coming weeks

You're doing the pathway program? Don't you get guaranteed acceptance into a university if you meet certain prerequisites or something?

 

Na I'm not doing guaranteed admissions, they're not at upfront as they seem. I'm just applying as a transfer.

#1 Colleges set their own requirements to meet GA (ex: UVA requires foreign language credits, but most people aren't aware of these requirements until their 3rd semester and by then it's too late)

#2 Even with GA, colleges can defer you for up to two semesters. "Hey, you're accepted.. but you need to wait a year until you can come, kay see you then."

 

Yeah, I assumed it wouldn't be a clear cut process. Have you decided on your major yet, though? What schools are you hoping to go to?
