My computer sound and tv hdmi input help pls

Problem 1:

Hey for the past 2-3 weeks now i have no sound on my laptop, which is really annoying sometimes I've tried everything, looked at guides on the internet and they all did not work, I've tried to manually switch my sound on and off in the control panel, people claimed that should work but it simply just doesn't give any sound, and i don't know why.

Looks like this and when i hover over the speaker it says 'the audio service is not running' please help im really hopeless here

Problem 2:

I wanted to connect my laptop to my Samsung but it says it has no hdmi source or whatsoever, not really sure about this one you guys might know what to do?

 

Did u delete any files recently that you werent sure what they were lol. Ik its dumb but i once deleted this thing on my laptop and found out it was the cause of my no sound on a laptop. Had to go on some site to redownload lol. Good luck getting an answer doe.

 

It might be so, i lent my neighbor my laptop for 1 week because i moved and didn't really need it and he gave it back to me like this :/

And i did some driver checks and downloads but did not fix anything

Right click on the sound thing bottom left at your PC time and click playback devices. Enable everything then set each on to be the primary sound output till it makes sound.

What happens when you press yes?

 

start > run > type in services.msc look for "Windows Audio Service" Double click it and in the drop down select "start", click ok.

If that doesn't work, may need to re-install audio drivers.

 

Doesn't work, and i already did that :S that's why im saying its so weird i have searched the internet and tried every tutorial idk what to do..

 

You may just have to take it to a professional. Since reinstalling drivers, uninstalling any programs your neighbor downloaded, and setting audio to default didn't work, that's really all you can do. Plus, you've already searched online.

Also, this is just a desperation move, but try using just headphones or portable speakers if they plug in, maybe your actual audio components are screwed up, but still plays in headphones?

 

I agree with him. My friends Iphone 5 couldnt play any audio but when you plugged headphones in the audio would work. IF anything I suggest to just wear headphones as Im pretty sure it will work

 

Even though that's going to get sound from the PC, that's not what OP wants.
