Right, I think it was like a $50 million investment.

I got a laugh from the Red Bull lawsuit, and offering $10 cash or 2 free Red Bulls at participating locations was more laughable.

Well honestly when they made the movie they had to expect some kind of reaction. im not gonna go full on american and support the movie and im not going to go anti-us and say the movie was a bad idea, but i mean cmon, not only assassinating a dictator, but roasting him, that doesnt lead to anything good.

On reflection; I'm not really a fan of this whole ordeal when the movie could've been more valuable in terms of showing what goes down in NK.

If it were a documentary instead of a comedy :p

Even if the US public were to even be aware of the tragic situation in NK, the only thing they would do is make Facebook groups about it.

Even if it had some truth in it to expose something :p

When or if NK is ever free'd, they're going to see that all we did was laugh about the horrific circumstances they're in and see we're no better on the outside world

Just watched it and it's a pretty good comedy. It did start off a bit slow like most films but it was a good laugh in the end. Not at all surprised they pulled it.

I just wonder how America'd've (yes, I just did that) reacted had it been the other way around - pretty sure they'd have got a bee in their bonnet about it too.

I watched this movie a few days ago, but the hacking was supposedly an inside job by Sony to spark promotional debates around the country and inevitably the extreme patriotism that 'Murricans represented over the internet.

I can't tell you how many times I saw the comments "It's a free country, we should all watch it on it's release anyway." and "What happened to not giving into terrorist demands?" posted on articles either through Facebook or some 'News' site.

I also believe I saw (same night I watched the movie) that North Korea issued a statement that it was very disappointed with the West for pulling such a cheap promotional stunt (not exact words), and I have to agree it's pretty lowly the things people would do for a little bit of movie promotion.

The movie wasn't that great, it had a few funny moments; but, it wasn't as funny as Sony getting hacked.
