How was RWT performed after they removed free trade?

Just a thought I had in the shower since I never really was into that stuff back then. Did the seller goldfarm the gold on the buyer's account?

Junk trades.
Drop trade methods and other associated ones that gold sellers knew and used.

 

When I ordered gold when there was the trade limit they'd login to my account and manually farm green dragons or plank making 15 hours a day. It was way more expensive than the gold prices today due to the work involved. I remember ordering 75m and it took like a week to do.


Also junk trades, like sellerman said. I never was offered that though.

 

I remember selling about 480M to king tinj back in those days..he paid me chump change for all of it lol, less than $100, however he managed to transfer the gp off within a few days somehow

 

The most popular transfer method that I know of that didn't involve the use of a glitch was the morrigans javelin p++ method.

Player A has money to trade to player B

Player A sells player B multiple morrigans javs for around 15k ea

Player B adds poison raising the trade price to around 45k ea

Player B sells the jav p++ to player A

Player A wipes the poison off with a cloth

Repeat.

100m+ transferred an hour depending on how many javs you had.

Gold farming wow now that would be a long time. How much extra did it cost does anyone know?

I asked a couple of people who bought or sold and junk trades was a pretty popular method used.

 

Can't remember exact prices, but it was significantly more. I remember there were sites that advertised specific items rather than gold.

I remember buying full bandos, a dragon full helm, a fury, and dragon boots for like $75. It was kind of cool actually, you'd scroll through the list and then add it to your "character" and it'd show the items on a character as you added them.

 

I bought gold when free trade was gone and they farmed pure essence on my account. It took about 4 days for a $35 order which I didn't mind since I got free 73 mining out of it

 

Interesting methods lol i thought all people did was let buyer kill u in redportal 0_o

 

That method was so awesome, unfortunately they patched it fairly quickly. It sent the price of weapon poison through the roof.

How did junk trading work? Wouldn't the buyer have to give an equivalent worth of items?
