I always thought vaping was a waste of time/money..

 

It started off as something to help smokers stop smoking, but then it has now been taken over by hipsters and millennials who think it is cool. Vape shops are becoming bigger than Star Bucks. Places with no Star Bucks (like my town) now has at least one vape shop, if not more. Now all of the gas stations and convenience stores have a whole selection of vape products. Now that it is a huge movement it is attracting more government attention.

 

Its going to be shut down soon im sure. Nicotene is a potent poison, some bubba motherfucker making this shit at home is going to overdue it and someone is going to get hurt.

Unless you are buying your juice from a VERY reputable source you really have no clue what or how much of it is in there. Govt will come and give it some due regulation shortly. That or ban it altogether. Good riddance too, tired of faggots blowing that shit all over the place in restruants and work ect. That flavored shit stinks.

 

I would, but I don't use my public skype very often, and I don't want to be exposing my private to the masses.

 

I've only tried it once and didn't like it. Yet again I did buy a shitty disposable vape pen. Tasted like ass though. (cherry flavor)

Can be a lot cheaper than smoking, has a hobby aspect to it, etc. Nothing you enjoy doing is a waste of time as long as it isn't at the expense of the important things in life.

I practically work at a vape shop, most of the people that come in are pack a day smokers are more. It does help people stop, and even if people start vaping without smoking at least its healthier than getting on cigs.

 

Most of the juice that you'll find is manufactured and the nicotine content is carefully monitored and clearly labeled. Finding something out of "Bubba's Garage" is kind of unlikely and obvious ill advised.

Nicotine in it of itself isn't especially harmful to you, just an addictive stimulant.

I agree with you on the vaping in public places like that, its disrespectful. Many places will ban vaping indoors, although I think it should be up to the business to say they don't want that shit.

DD - You got the Atlantis right? Have you had any throat issues?

There seems to be a lot of controversy around some of the forums I frequent about the wicking material being used, and that it causes irritation.

 

Well, its kinda weird that you mention it. I have been coughing recently, I attributed it to lowering my nic to 3-6 and chain vaping deep lung inhails. Also I vape it at 37.5 - 40 watts depending on the juice so that's the high end of things for the atlantis. So hard to say, maybe the wicking is playing a part in that.

Either way I'm still a fan of this thing, been using it more than any rda that I own. I like the decently wide open airflow and not having to drip, taste is a bit muted but not bad.

Only very minor problems, sometimes when you try to screw it back together after filling it it feels locked up. The coil head gets unscrewed from the bottom and stays screwed into the top so you have to pull it apart dripping with juice and screw it back into the right spot. Then screw the entire thing back together. Other issue is if you drag on it for more than a few seconds the juice isn't soaking into the wick fast enough so it'll give you a dry hit. Obviously I need to adjust the pg/vg ratio for this thing.

Sorry for the tl;dr. Seems like all they'd need to do to correct it if its an issue is recall the coil heads and have people change them out. I recently bought a couple new ones ($6 each at the vape shop). Weird side note one of them tasted right away like spoiled milk once I put it in. I gave time for juice to soak into it. Not sure if it was machine oil or what, didn't see any. After fussing with it a bit I ended up just throwing it away, the rest seemed fine. No idea 0.0.

I take it you didn't receive one in last months vape box? I've been meaning to subscribe to that, probably starting January.

I didn't even get the December box, their payment system glitched and didn't charge me, therefor I got not box.....

As for ecf - I'm not registered but I lurk it.

Been thinking about picking up a box mod, debating between getting the Sigelei 100W, or waiting for the 150W to drop. Only issue is, I need to buy new batteries too, mine are reaching the peak of their recharge cycle, and I can definitely feel the difference in their performance from when they were new to now.

As for your atlantis, I've heard(read) removing the airflow control ring will considerably improve airflow/vapor production. You should consider that if you haven't already.

 

Would love for someone to lay out a basic but solid mod/dripping atomizer for me to play with. I'm tired of the Ego Twist/PT2 and would like to move onto rebuilding atomizers and dripping.

I was leaning towards the MVP 2 but truthfully I'm a little lost as it's a big step above where I am now.

Dude, I haven't touched either of my mech mods (granted they're clones) since I picked up my ipv3. I have 6 batteries that I cycle, my atty is built at 0.2 and vaping between 60-90 watts I can drain two vct5's in an hour or two.


That's interesting, I'll give it a shot. I have a lot of a juice called timebomb fuse (its like a sugary strawberry watermelon) and it tastes considerably better much warmer and on cotton so I've retired my atlantis until I get through about 100 ML of this stuff.

I'm kind of pumped with the line of thinking that's going into the atlantis and similar. If I can screw something into a tank and get a similar experience to building that's pretty cool to me.

edit: Oh and I have another question. I've been going through a solid 30 Ml's or more in a 24 hour time period. Chain vaping about an hour straight a couple times a day. Is this fking normal, the guys in the vape shop stare at me like I'm insane when I tell them I vaped what I just bought the day before. Mostly 3mg recently. I'm thinking about diy'ing a big batch of juice to keep me from blowing so much cash, any suggestions of flavor brands?

You could always buy an atlantis and slap it on most mechanical mods. It hits closer to an rda and you don't have to build anything. Its only like $45 and its a good stepping point. Otherwise go into a vape shop and have them show you how to build an rda. I tried learning from youtube but didn't have much success until the guy showed me in person.

What's your price range?

 

DIY might be a good route. I go through about 15ML+/day myself, so I know the feel.

You might also want to consider checking out vapejoose.com - They have insanely cheap juice right now ($15 for 120ml) - Though I'm unsure of the quality. I just made an order, but am still waiting for it to arrive.

 

I would like to start vaping soon. I heard you can get nicotine free ones and just vape away and enjoy the flavor. :laugh: That's what I'll do, or try one of those hookah ones. I used to smoke, and definitely don't want to go back to nicotine. I just always liked the sensation in my lungs.

THat's just in the B&M location, I'm sure I could order quantity online and cheaper juices and save at least half of that. So slightly overestimating but it still seems like diy is a good way to go if I'm going to keep this up, even if I just make a big batch of an adv flavor. Let me know how they taste. I tried hangsen eliquid from fastech, was like $3.50/30ml so I was intrigued. Bought $20 worth of ejuice. The red bull flavor was tolerable, the rest were very chemically tasting and not vapable. I threw most of the bottles out, except for an apple tasting one which I choked down in a clearomizer after letting steep forever and when I was desperate lmao.

0mg will taste like a light mist, not smoke filling your lungs. Maybe try a menthol flavor to feel a bit of coolness.

I'm leaning towards the Atlantis, of all things. As much as I'd like to get into dripping it seems that rebuilables are the way to go and I'm not sure if I'm ready for them yet. I was thinking the Atlantis and a VV/VW box mod. Any suggestions for brands that are solid for a fair price?

 

I've been using a Vuse e-cig to help me quit smoking.

I've tried out some higher quality rigs and love em. Just won't spend the money on them when my aim is to quit all together.

I love cloud chasing though.
