But even if I'm playing on a legacy only world, the overall economy still has an impact and less dps arguably equals less XP and less kills which in turn means less GP per hour. I don't want to be at an economical disadvantage.

 

Why don't you play oldschool?

 

It's playerbase is much smaller than EOC and seems to be quite heavily revolving around PvP. I'm more into skilling/PvM and RS3 seems to have more choice when it comes to bossing.

 

Give me a shout later on, I'll get you into a clan with some great people - Socializing on RS makes it 100x better!

 

RS07 all the way, same old school feel just with less players - I enjoy it!

It is indeed fun and a hell of a grind on oldschool. Although the majority of combat skills are AFKable now.

 

Come play 07 with me, or join a clan, i think you'll get the best out of 07 you could compared to Eoc it's horrible.

 

With all the bonus exp you get from treasure hunter, you could max out in like a week lol

 

Game becomes progressively easier time to time.

 

This is just incorrect. There's an enormous skilling base and PvM is much more profitable. It doesn't revolve around PvP only.

 

Don't play RS.

It's not a grind anymore, but seeing how everyone nowadays are either maxed, or have 200Ms/120's.

RuneScape has changed from a game that felt impossible getting them 99's etc, to now being a game where if you want to stand in with the good crowd you'll need multiple 99's or a 120, or even 200M's.

That's why I quit. I hated the fact knowing that if I started a new account I would have to put in so much work just to get up to where everybody else is...

Safe to say RuneScape is only left for veterans now, or dumb new players who think the game is fucking amazing.

 

Just try out eoc on a free to play world for an hour or so and see if you enjoy it, some people liked it, some hated it- it's very polarising, if you liked wow then I think you have a good chance of liking EOC

 

In my personal opinion I love Rs3 skilling, I am not a main so I don't Pvm but when I came back, I came back to Rs3 and started skilling and now that's all I do so if you like to skill or Pvm Rs3 is better than 07. Hope this helps you make up your mind but it probably won't haha ;D Good luck

 

Xp is a bigger deal now in eoc and many people will base u on ur total or bank but if u actually give it a try many people find out they enjoy somethjng knew like this. I wouldnt call it a wow copy, just a more interactice rs and i realize people dont want thay. Just start with legacy mode when training and when u feel comfortable with abilities u can go bossing and really have alot of fun haha. Araxxor and vorago are some of the new bosses introduced and theyre the mostfun ive ever had on rs. The pvp also for me is exciting but everyone has there own preferance, hope u enjoy eoc and continue playing on it!

eoc is just a bit easier then it was back then, there's no much of a "grind" anymore and with good friends yeah rs can be hella fun hit's are much higher in eoc considering most monsters were based pre-eoc

 

Also, right now is a great time to give OSRS a shot. F2p is free right now
