pretty fun to rock out to tho haha i think youre over analyzing it.


I liked away. I think listening to an album by the toadies will be more enjoyable though, the mood seemed like it had to be introduced. Kind of reminds me of radiohead.

I agree, the effects of away are amplified when heard in the midst of the rest of the album. It really brings out the sinister atmosphere of the song.

@Drink, I've never listened to a scottish metal band before. I really enjoy the accent so that was the icing on the cake for me.
The lyrics are just hilarious. You couldn't make a song about drinking beer this good if it wasn't metal. I thought they were actually playing the instruments they're pretending to play in the beginning :embar:

AJJ is god, literally. If that is the only song you're listening to by them then listen to more. They're a good introduction to the large world of DIY and Folk Punk. After that start listening to Pat Bunny and all of his bands, my favorite being Johnny Hobo and the Freight Trains. Then after them listen to the Pogues, and then listen to Chris Clavin and all of his stuff.

I am not a huge Pearl Jam fan really. I like some of it, but not really enough to just put an album on loop. I do like some Stone Temple Pilots though.
