I'm aware that Jagex is constantly up to something when it comes to RWT, as is my experience.

So I'm wondering, what have been the changes between late 2012 and now?

 

RWTing wise not a big change. Maybe more advanced but other than that nothing really. They targeted the stakers as of late.

 

Personally, I think rwt and RS has become less regulated all together with it's decline of late. Though they have got better at bot catching.

 

being that osrs is kinda small its pretty easy for jagex to catch us. just be smart.

 

Since I last played, the gambling (flower games) seems to have disappeared. This is due to RWTing?

 

Yeah, they got rid of gambling and commission staking in part due to RWT

 

The amounts are definitely less since in 2012 there was still gambling and gp rates have went down their around .3-.4 now

 

So would you say that the RWTing market has suffered as a whole in the past two years?

Is there still money to be made?

 

From my own experiences i find that they are less pro-active on the matter however if you do something stupid they will get you straight away.

 

There is always money to be made whenever people are still willing to pay. Of course the profits are less now than they were 5 years ago, but that is to be expected.

The RWT scene of Runescape has been around for quite awhile now,
more competition, runs prices down.

I really do not think that Jagex is any "better" at catching RWT'ing than they were before. The bans are scarce. Rotate through mules, trading methods and IP addresses and you will be fine.
