People getting DDoSd in game

Ok hear me out lads.

Not sure how many of you know, but have any of you experienced a team mate or yourself just dc completely when you're even/ahead and you come back and your team losing to all fuckery? A lot of you might think I'm retarded but hear this out. I'm not sure if this discussion is allowed on Sythe, and I apologize if it isn't, I'll report this thread and ask if it's ok or not.

So a way a lot of fucktards DDoS players in game is through skype resolvers. It's not uncommon for a player on league to have the same username on skype. What happens is, the guy booting resolves the skype username and DDoS' it (I won't say how but yeah gotta trust me).

It's happened to several games out of 100 for me (not many but still), and 2 out of the times I added all of the other team and caught 2 of the culprits out and because of no tribunal on OCE, nothing happens.

I advice people to not use their league names as skype names as it's very easy to get fucked if you have someone in your game who is low enough to boot you.

Once again, apologies if this is not allowed here. Just thought the community should know.

 

It used to happen a lot, people used to get to high masters using this. However it is no longer possible without getting banned, as Riot easily track this.
Therefor it is not a question of Tribunal.
If you experience this very often, i will encourage you to report them via Riot's support ticket system giving them the names of the players you think is involved so that they're under tighter supervision.

It is annoying i agree, but it is not done by skype names as you are mentioning Anavar, although it can be done that way too.
The program they are using tracks all players' ip in the current game, and using that DDoS the players within the game. Due to the nature and severity of these actions, prior offenders has been punished accordingly.
Remember the Incarnation incident? He is an aspiring pro player and can no longer compete in the LCS after 1-2 years. He recently tried to get into an LCS team, (being recruited to one) but not successful as Riot still wont allow him to play.

Therefor the thing about Skype, dont worry about it, people are only gonna DDoS u from games they are in, or if you're a top streamer, there just aren't any reason to do it otherwise. (waste of money effort, and increasing risk)

 

Oh okay. But yeah the two that I pestered and got it out of said they used the skype resolver.

I'll submit screenshots of the chat to Riot, and hopefully they get banned. Trolling and afking is one thing, but this is just low.

 

If they have done that it would literally be a very minuscule percentage of games this would be happen, literally 0.001%.
And would only thus happen if people would have same Skype as their ingame league summoner which im sure 90%+ players don't.
And then said "DDoS'ers would have to come up with the idea of searching for their Skype.

The main way people DDoS is with a program that determines players' ip during a game.
I'm sorry for the poor experiences you have met, but i'm sure you wont meet any of these offenders again, like you said yourself 2/100 games.
But i mean, this might be an OCE specific problem, i just know that on NA this isn't seen anymore than the amount it used to.

 

Change the name on your account if its happening to you, or create a new one

 

Who the fuck uses skype name same as league nickname?

I've been looking every game and 1 out of 2 games there will be people with VERY similar skype and league names.

 

Similar maybe, but i would never expect any one to use the same.

 

Honestly you won't get matched up with these people unless your mmr is bad, I've only experienced this once during my 2 years of playing. + they have a system to detect those kinda things so this shouldn't be a problem.

 

Ddos happens alot on RS for me. never expected it to come on league , but thanks for letting me know! also good to hear that it is very uncommon since you can easily get banned from league

 

They used to be able to resolve your IP in game. I believe that got patched and now they can only Ddos you if your skype name/username is close to your League of Legends name.
