Commission Staking Removed. Opinions?

Will this affect the price of osrs/rs3 gold at all?

 

Would be impossible to tell since prices are about to shoot up with the holiday season. Jagex will probably take credit for it in some way though.

 

I'm glad they removed it, this just means less gp in the market which should hopefully increase the 07 gold prices.

 

Before the age of rwt bans, buying in november/start of december would've turned out a nice profit. Nowadays, sadly, you'd just risk getting banned with a ton of gold.

Though I think it will not change the price too much, as a lot of buyers of gold went to stake with it, so I think that kind of cancels out the parts that the hosts sold, or at least enough that it will not significantly affect gold prices. I think the main price trends are stronger than that.

 

I don't care either way, but I think that Jagex's official reasoning is very strange. "A lot of people in staking fc's sell gold so we banned them completely." That won't make a noticeable dent in RWT'ing.

Sothey made an assuption that every commision staking FC are RWTers when only "60%" RWT? This is why I hade Jagex and am not active in Rs as much. They are always after RWTers that they don't notice their game break up and lose activity from players. GG Jagex.

 

Still less stupid then when they banned everyone in chat for "name hoarding and rwting". Like jamflex what the fuck I hadn't even logged in in 6 months in during the name release. Oh well it got quashed but one stupid bitch jmod told me it wasn't going to then her ruling got overturned by a competent mod.

 

When you ask if people are okay with commission staking being removed, you may as well be asking people if they were involved in it or not.

I wasn't, so I'm glad to see commission staking gone. It caused a decent amount of RWT, potential scamming, and just morons losing a lot of their money to the already obscenely rich, among other things.
