[Food] Jack in the Box - Hella-Peño Burger

Price: $6.50 for a Munchie Meal with a large drink, $6 with a medium. Burger by itself is $4.

Sorry, we were outside and not close to somewhat decent lighting.

Cheese sauce, meat, jalapeno poppers, jalapenos. Sounds great on paper, especially since I love jalapenos as well as jalapeno poppers. Every once in a while I buy Jack in the Box jalapeno poppers because they are pretty good. It wasn't good.

I tried this burger out right when it came out, hoping to post it as soon as possible because I thought it'd be amazing. The best way I could describe it was that it lacked flavor. The cheese sauce was bland and wasn't able to bring out the meat's flavor, the jalapeno poppers were basically not even there as far as the taste goes. It tasted like bland cheese and pickled jalapenos.

The fact that it's still on the menu makes me curious if maybe my burger was bad, but I don't think it's worth it. I'll stick to the brunch burger and bacon ultimates, thanks.

Low 3/5 because it was edible, but no where near my expectations. Real close to a high 2, Mr. Burger.

Avoid it, or try and get the poppers on the side. They're good when they don't taste like they've been in a fridge for hours.

The new sriacha (or however the fuck you spell rooster sauce) burger is the bee's knees if you like jalapenos.

 

It's a United States west-coast company so it's only in the western parts of the US and I think south as well. It's a good place and it has a nice range of food varieties.

Yeah I heard it was too jalapeno-y so I opted not to get it. I'll stick to the sriracha sauce on my Subway subs.
