    Question regarding botting

I would personally say it all depends on how old the account is, on my 10 year account this is how i recieved my offences on it for botting,2 day, 7 day, 14 day, 28 days and then finally perm so its really up to you

    Question regarding botting

In all honesty, if you place a lot of value in your account, I would be very cautious botting on it.

    Question regarding botting

seen this as well, something about if you bot one to profit the other in anyway they all get banned. was kinda' worried about this while botting my account and trading over gold for supplies, would hate for my money mule to get permed or something. not very clear though..

    Question regarding botting

You can bot, but theres always that risk. I'll tell you that I know if you bot on RS3 there is an instant ban. 07 its a bit lower, and it kind of lowers the chance because you want to do it on a main. Use a premium script and I think you'll do okay :p

    Question regarding botting

"Jagex have a system for tracking offenders. Simply changing IP or changing account, won't get you off the hook. If you are in the wrong place at the wrong time, botting in an area J-Mods are investigating (especially if you are in botting long hours), Jagex can get trigger happy with known cheaters. The longer ago your offense was, the less likely it can be successfully tracked.

You can wipe your macro offense history clean with the following steps:

    (1) Retire/sell ALL your current RuneScape accounts - even those with no offenses. (Harsh, but essential if you want a fresh start)
    (2) Change IP address.
    (3) Create a new account on your clean IP address. It won't take long to build an account you love with RID, if you prefer to buy rather than start again, be aware someone else's offense history will then be connected to your fresh IP.
    (4) DO NOT buy membership with the same card as you did any old accounts, (unless via PayPal, which sheilds card details from Jagex). (5) Lastly: never again login to ANY old account on your new IP, even to the appeal centre. If you do, Jagex will be able to link the old offense to your fresh IP and account."

Quoted from Guideline #4 of RiD's Guidelines to Responsible Use

    Question regarding botting

IP actually doesnt make a difference, I have botted on new IPs using VPS, VPN, Proxy and it doesnt make 1 difference in the bans. An by looking at other threads it doesnt seem like it helps, its just a way for people to feel like there a bit safer. Weather your IP's flagged or not you'll still get banned.

    Question regarding botting

You seemed to have completely missed my point. My point was not on how to prevent bans, it was for how to clean yourself if you've been flagged. Your risk of ban is high regardless of whether or not you're flagged, but being flagged makes it easier for Jagex.

If either of you can't seem to understand why step 3 & 4 are relevant, let me know, and I will explain exactly why.

    Question regarding botting

You should be fine. They don't usually track IP addresses off accounts banned for personal botting offenses.

    Question regarding botting

I've had some accounts that I've used strictly for Goldfarming recieve a 2 day ban, and as soon as the temporary ban is lifted, the botting picked up exactly where I left off at and they have ran 12+ hours a day great for another month.

Then again, I have seen accounts with previous 2 day bans recieve a permanent ban within hours of botting them again.

Although I don't have enough evidence to back my theory, I personally don't believe that accounts themselves are flagged. More or less the patterns of your script behaivors, location, IP addresses, etc.

I wouldn't risk it unless you don't mind losing that account.
